The Italian Sea Group has announced the delivery of its latest superyacht, M/Y Admiral Raja², measuring 55 meters in length. The aluminum vessel is part of the company’s S-Force line and was fully designed by the Group’s in-house Centro Stile.Raja² was developed in close collaboration with IYC and Med Waves Charters to meet the owner’s specific requirements. The yacht features sleek, dynamic exterior lines with a powerful yet elegant bow and an open stern design that enhances connection with the sea. Large glazing along the superstructure provides extensive natural light to the interior spaces.The yacht’s layout includes a sundeck equipped with a hot tub, sunbathing and dining areas, a touch-and-go helipad, and a spacious garage capable of housing a 7.5-meter tender and various water toys. Amels 80 Begins Sea Trials Ahead of Summer Delivery
Damen Yachting has commenced sea trials for the first 80-meter Amels Limited Editions superyacht, marking the final phase before its scheduled summer delivery. The vessel represents the latest addition to the Amels series, featuring hybrid propulsion technology designed to reduce emissions and enable quieter operation.Project manager Romke van der Linde stated: "The sea trials offer a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the innovation, design, and power that this yacht delivers." The trials will evaluate the yacht's performance, including its hybrid system's efficiency and operational capabilities.The Amels 80 incorporates design elements focused on sustainability alongside traditional Dutch shipbuilding techniques. The yacht's technical specifications and interior layouts remain undisclosed, though Damen Yachting confirms the vessel maintains the Limited Editions' standard configuration options.Construction of the Amels 80 began at Damen's Vlissingen facility, with the hull and superstructure completed before the start of outfitting. The sea trials will be conducted in the North Sea, with final delivery to the owner expected following successful completion of all tests.Damen Yachting currently has multiple Amels Limited Editions models in various stages of construction at its Dutch shipyards. The 80-meter platform joins the existing 60-meter and 78-meter offerings in the series.Damen Yachting, a division within the Damen Shipyards Group, was created in 2019. Italian yacht builder Extra Yachts has launched a new corporate identity, marking an evolution in its brand presentation. The updated visual style reflects the company's design approach focused on spacious layouts and customizable features.The rebrand emphasizes Extra's yacht design philosophy, which combines contemporary aesthetics with functional living spaces. Current production models - including the Extra 76, 86, 92 and 100 - feature signature elements such as expansive glazing and seamless indoor-outdoor connectivity.Standard configurations across the range include open-plan main decks with integrated kitchens, flexible outdoor entertainment areas, and smart home technology systems. The shipyard offers three predefined interior styling packages while allowing material customization to meet owner preferences."Extra represents a specific approach to yacht design," a company representative stated. "Our models prioritize usable space and personalization while maintaining structural integrity."Construction of multiple yachts continues at Extra's Massa, Italy facility. Current production timelines average 18-24 months from contract signing, varying by model and customization level. The rebranding coincides with ongoing deliveries from the shipyard's order book.Extra Yachts specializes in the development of yachts with a strong personality. IPYD Studio Unveils 80m AETHER Concept for Oceanco's Simply Custom Range
Athens-based design studio IPYD has revealed Aether, an 80-meter superyacht concept developed for Oceanco's Simply Custom platform. The design features triangular geometric motifs throughout its exterior, referencing concepts of balance and harmony from ancient Greek philosophy.Presented at the 2023 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Aether joins Oceanco's portfolio of semi-custom concepts built on a standardized technical platform by Lateral Naval Architects. Initial renderings show a continuous exterior profile with an open-plan beach club featuring spa facilities and lounge areas.The Simply Custom range offers owners design flexibility while utilizing pre-engineered naval architecture. Aether follows previous concepts including Ani by Vallicelli Design and Dunes by the Touch Studio. Oceanco has not disclosed construction timelines or technical specifications for the Aetherconcept.Oceanco was founded in 1987. Right now it is a world-class builder of custom superyachts up to the 140 meters range. Oceanco works with world-known designers such as Terence Disdale, Nuvolari-Lenard, Espen Oeino, Sam Sorgiovanni, Igor Lobanov, Tim Heywood and Andrew Winch to create some of the timeless and award-winning yachts afloat today.Credits: IPYD
Porto Cervo Hosts 2025 Swan One Design World Championships
The Yacht Club Costa Smeralda is hosting the 2025 Swan One Design Worlds from June 17-21, featuring 35 teams from 30 nations competing across four one-design classes. The event marks the competitive debut of the ClubSwan 28 class alongside established ClubSwan 36, 42 and 50 fleets."The Swan One Design Worlds highlight the energy and camaraderie of the ClubSwan family," said Luisa Bambozzi, Managing Director of ClubSwan Racing. "Porto Cervo provides the ideal setting to combine world-class racing with vibrant shoreside activities."The regatta features defending champions in multiple classes, including Mamao (ClubSwan 36) and Nadir (ClubSwan 42). Notable entries include Leonardo Ferragamo's Cuordileone and Marcus Brennecke's Hatari in the ClubSwan 50 division. The newly introduced ClubSwan 28 class will compete for its first Gold Cup, with seven teams including youth entry NOX OCEANI featuring 13-year-old helmsman Giorgio Nocella.Giovanni Pomati, CEO of Nautor Swan, emphasized the event's community aspect: "This regatta represents the unity and international spirit that defines the ClubSwan family." The competition schedule allows for eight races per class (ten for ClubSwan 28), with Mistral winds expected for the final racing days.Social events include class dinners and an owners' reception at YCCS, culminating in Saturday's prize ceremony. The ClubSwan Academy continues its youth development program, providing young sailors access to competitive racing platforms.Nautor Swan was founded in 1966 in Pietarsaari, Finland.
