The tragic news has been received from on the evening of May 25, when the sailing superyacht My Song from Baltic 130 line fell from the cargo ship that was carrying her across the Atlantic, from the Caribbean to the Balearics. A renowned regatta star, My Song was supposed to be unloaded in Ibiza ahead of her appearance in this year’s Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta that is taking place form June 3 to June 6 in Sardinia.
German shipyard Lürssen has moved its 142-metre superyacht Redwood into final construction stage at the builder’s Vegesack facility in Bremen. The gigayacht also known as project Opus is set to enter top-15 largest yachts in the world once delivered.

Meanwhile, his 65-metre superyacht Main represents a marine version of her owner’s restrained aesthetics. Delivered in 2008 by Italian builder Codecasa, Main features angular lines and uncommon dark-green exterior colour.
Annually, the Cannes Film Festival unofficially represents the beginning of superyacht season in France. The event becomes one of the season's destinations for many of the world's wealthiest people, with the most magnificent superyachts showcased in various locations along the French Riviera. Sold asking €69,500,000, the yacht has been now renamed Arience.

The 95-metre luxury motor yacht Kismet built by Lurssen in 2014 was spotted in Saint-Petersburg. Kismet belongs on the list of the largest superyachts of sports teams owners, as the part of Shadid Khan, Pakistani-American billionaire and business tycoon's fleet. He is also the owner of the Fulham FC and Jacksonville Jaguars team.
On the last day of the Cannes Film Festival 2019, a British man died in a collision of two yachts within Cannes marina. The 28-metre Pershing Vision hit the 27-metre Minx by Princess Yachts at around 9pm on May 25, injuring the 29-year-old crew member on-board the Minx. He suffered a cardiac arrest and died despite the efforts of medical staff.
