Topaz

Launched in May 2012 by the famous German shipyard Lurssen, Topaz picks up the spot of 5th largest yacht in the world, topping Prince Abdulaziz by a foot. Topaz has a beam of 21.5m and 5.7m, this adds up to a gross tonnage of 11,589 tones with her steel hull and aluminum superstructure.Topaz's owner is a rich billionaire from the United Arab Emirates (Dubai or Abu Dhabi). He has made Topaz to an exterior design by Tim Heywood and interior design by Terence Disdale. Powered by engines specially designed by Lurssen of 7,990hp each, Topaz is a displacement yacht capable of reaching a maximum speed of 25 knots and a cruising speed of 23 knots.
