Wider Introduces Two New Models at Cannes 2024, Expanding the WiderCat 92 and WiLder 60 Family
Italian yacht manufacturer Wider continues to redefine the yacht market with its innovative and versatile offerings. At the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival, slated for September 10-15, the company will unveil two remarkable new vessels: the exquisite WiderCat 76 and the striking WiLder 60 Outboard. Displayed at locations SYE021 and QML020, these yachts promise distinctive experiences while embodying Wider's commitment to excellence in design, engineering, and finish tailored for their respective markets.Wider remains relentless in its pursuit to cater to a broader audience, which is why these two new models are poised to serve as the latest siblings to the WiderCat 92 and WiLder 60.WiderCat 76The WiderCat 76 exemplifies the brand’s core philosophy of innovation, offering the luxury of a superyacht combined with the nimbleness of a leisure craft. Currently under construction at Wider's Vision Hub in Fano, the design – crafted by Luca Dini in collaboration with the Wider Centro Stile – focuses on maximizing light and space while enhancing the onboard aesthetic.Notable design elements include intelligently angled superstructure lines that allure from every angle, promoting both style and functionality. The yacht’s spacious layout features a large saloon, a generous lower galley, and a master suite with direct access to the forward cockpit. With a focus on upscale outdoor living, numerous deck spaces are designed for an immersive experience on the water."The WiderCat 76 represents a modern interpretation of elegance, styled in a Hamptons flair that remains welcoming," expressed Marcello Maggi, President of W-Fin Sarl, the parent company of Wider. "With its sumptuous decor and expansive spaces, this yacht redefines what it means to enjoy a luxurious lifestyle on water.”This impressive yacht includes a lavish master suite with sweeping sea views, along with spacious guest accommodations and multiple outdoor areas for entertaining. Maggi emphasizes that the WiderCat 76 is designed to provide superyacht-like amenities in a 23.12-meter package, ensuring unmatched quality inside and out.WiLder 60 OutboardThe WiLder 60 has already made waves in the industry with its blend of high-performance and luxury design since its initial launch earlier in 2024. Now, Wider is poised to launch an Outboard version, catering to a diverse market, including North America. Featuring four Mercury Verado 600 outboards, this model promises exhilarating speeds of over 40 knots, with a comfortable cruising pace of 35 knots. This new iteration not only enhances performance but also optimizes interior space; the engine room has been transformed into a crew cabin, and the interior layout offers flexibility with two or three cabin options. The luxurious interior merges elements of both supercars and superyachts, showcasing an impressive standard of bespoke design.“The WiLder 60 is a true testament to the passions of discerning boat owners,” notes Maggi. “Our aim was to embody both aesthetics and functionality while offering innovative layout options and exceptional water interaction.”With its feather-light construction – displacing just 33 tons – the WiLder 60 Outboard combines comfort and functionality with amenities like an extensive dining space, large sunbeds, and easy maintenance features. The WiderCat 76 and WiLder 60 Outboard perfectly complement their larger counterparts, the WiderCat 92 and the original WiLder 60, demonstrating Wider’s continuous evolution and commitment to innovation. Maggi concludes, “From luxurious weekend getaways to majestic superyachts, we strive to showcase our versatility and vision for future yacht ownership at every level.”Cannes 2024 will also spotlight Wider's collaborations with various Italian and international brands. Visitors can enjoy Talenti's finely crafted furnishings, indulge in a Wider-flavored ice cream from TooA, and interact with the latest Seabob F9 models on display. Furthermore, the WiderCat 92 will feature exclusive amenities, including its branded version of the groundbreaking electric SUP, SipaBoards Neo Silver Drive, and the innovative EJET 4X full-electric tender for eco-friendly transport.Founded in 2010 and based in Ancona (Le Marche), Wider Yachts is an innovative Italian yacht builder shipbuilder specialized in electric and renewable energy-powered superyachts. The upper deck offers a chic lounge area with flexible freestanding furnishings, alongside a spacious sun deck complete with a bar, sunbathing spots, and a dining table that accommodates ten guests.Among various layout configurations available, the owner chose to position the pantry on the main deck and the galley on the upper deck. The crew quarters, situated below deck as well, provide comfortable accommodations for five crew members across three cabins, along with a dedicated laundry space. The aft garage, nestled beneath the sun deck, conveniently stores a 4-meter tender, two Seabobs, and additional equipment.Powering the X100 Triplex are twin MAN engines, each producing 1550 hp, enabling the yacht to reach a top speed of 15.5 knots with a cruising speed of 12 knots.
