The Superyacht Show 2019, one of premium annual superyacht events will take place from May 08 to May 11 in Barcelona. The second edition of the show following last year's success will be held at OneOcean Port Vell marina. Developed by the members of the Large Yacht Brokers Association (LYBRA), based in Monaco, the show seeks to bring the most prominent vessels in order to attract broader publics attention. The first hull of the Flybridge BeachClub 660 series is nearing completion at facilities in Waalwijk and is due to be delivered this summer, announced the Van der Valk shipyard. Scheduled for completion in 2020, the vessel features interior and exterior design of the renowned designer Cor D. Rover, naval architecture by Ginton, all-aluminum construction with a sleek modern profile, as well as a radical layout and engine layout.
Taiwan-based yacht builder Horizon Yachts has announced that two new-build PR110 units have completed tank testing. Both hulls are scheduled for delivery to their respective third-time owners in April 2019.
Mondomarine, the latest brand acquired by Palumbo Superyachts in 2018, is launching a new expedition-style line called ‘Discovery’ where the first project to take shape is a 57-meter line. The first edition of London Yacht Showscheduled to May 8-12, 2019 has been announced postponed until 2020. The reason for that lies in the lack of interest from some industries and brands the show aimed at. The renewed event was to focus on the luxury end of the marine market, and the organisers are going to now concentrate on the 2020 edition.
Dutch yacht builder Heesen has announced the launch of a new YN 18750 unit at the company’s Oss facility. The 50m vessel first known as Project Aster, was christened Masa by her owner. The vessel features exteriors by Omega Architects, along with naval architecture by Heesen in-house team and interiors by Cristiano Gatto.
The first edition of new yachting event - SeaYou Yacht Sales & Charter Days, will take place at Marina Genova on 12 and 13 of April 2018. The show is intended for brokers and visitors, boat owners and potential customers for yachts on charter or on sale, comprising the yachts of 18 to 80 metres, available for sale and charter.
Dutch yacht builder Amels has unveiled its first Amels 220 superyacht, Aurora Borealis in Vlissingen. Previously known as Project Waka, the 67.1-metre yacht is to become the first unit out the yard’s new Limited Editions motor yachts line 220, designed by Tim Heywood.
A classic vessel by De Vries Lentsch, a 42.06-metre Istros, has been signed up to an extensive refit with Feadship, after her sale in 2018. First launched in 1954, Istros was once considered among the largest motoryachts built in the Netherlands. She will undergo installation of all-new aluminium superstructure on retained original hull, along with fitting with modern marine equipment.
