Italian builder Mondomarine is at full capacity with 11 superyachts in refit from 28 to 58 meters, followed by the Palumbo SY division.
We’ve been working on this for almost a year – Giuseppe Palumbo, CEO, explains – because we strongly believe in the potential of the renowned brand of Mondomarine and the geographic location of the shipyard. We are extremely happy for yet another goal achieved. This acquisition will further strengthen our position to provide unparalleled service on new builds, refit, and maintenance from a unique network of shipyards.
In terms of projects, in addition to a Mondomarine “Classic” line, it is launching a new expedition-style line called ‘Discovery’ where the first project to take shape is a 57-meter line. This innovative design by Luca Dini fuses the distinctive features of "Explorer" and "Shuttle" yachts: the result is an exceptionally large outdoor space, with relaxation areas and sunbathing areas, and cozy and comfortable interiors. The new line will be completed with 40 meters, 50 meters, and 75 meters. The previous collaboration of Mondomarine and Luca Dini was in 2017 when they launched the 60m Sarastar.
The dark blue color of the hull emphasizes the union of the yacht with the ocean.
The external lines hint at the past of well-defined shapes mixed with current trends, transforming the Discovery 57 into an example of a successful combination between elegance and technology and ensuring maximum comfort even during long voyages feeling into safety and reliability. The large outdoor areas also include two type pools: one on the main deck and the second on the flybridge in addition to a fantastic sized beach club. Two different layouts of the main deck offer the possibility of dedicating the entire bow area only to the owner's cabin or to provide it with an additional VIP cabin on the right side.
Whatever the version, the yacht also has four guest cabins all with private bathrooms on the lower deck and six functional crew cabins, while the master's quarters are located on the upper deck.
A special accent was placed on the introduction of windows without vertical profiles to allow access to natural light and the view of the ocean from as many areas as possible on board, so as to create a uniform relaxing and welcoming feeling.
