92-meter Aquarius (Project Touchdown) was launched by Feadship one month ago. Since then the Dutch shipyard has released official images of its new yacht and our colleagues from Dutch Yachting have taken pictures of Steve Wynn's newest flagship with her mast installed.
Now we've been informed that Aquarius left Rotterdam this morning. Dutch Yachting provided us with the photos of the superyacht leaving the Merwehaven under its own power for the first time assisted by Koninklijke Van der Wees Transport Groep’s tug “Broedertrouw XIV”. DY also reports that the vessel has begun sea trials on the North Sea.
92m Aquarius was initially built at Scheepswerft Slob and then was relocated to the Dutch shipyard's finishing facilities in June 2015. The superyacht features a resolutely contemporary exterior design with a number of archetypal Feadship elements, such as a conventional bow and raked superstructure shape.
The profile comes from the boards of the Dutch company Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design, which was also responsible for the interior design together with the owner's design team in close cooperation with Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects.
Aquarius' key features include a helipad on the bow, a beauty salon, a large pool on the aft main deck, a gym, massage and therapy room, jacuzzi and large outdoor deck spaces. As for the accommodation, 14 guests can be carried on board in 7 suites, including 6 VIP-suites forward on the main deck and an owner's suite on the upper deck.
Feadship and Sinot Yacht Design has recently introduced 80m superyacht Zen as the result of a close cooperation of two longtime partners in the yachting world. The Dutch shipyard has also presented 74m Future concept Choice during the Monaco Yacht Show.
