Creating a New Lifestyle: Benetti Reshapes the Superyacht World
Oasis Deck™ is the name of a new solution offered by Benetti which, based on the extraordinary success of the Oasis 40M, is now featured on new models of the Oasis 34m and B.Now 50M and 66M. Oasis 40M Based on a specific design request issued in 2017, Benetti launched a 40M yacht last September for the next generation. Having recognized the early signs of a growing trend, driven by a new generation of superyacht owners who wish for a less formal lifestyle, authentically marine-based and blissfully social, Benetti wanted to create something which could go beyond the traditional beach areas, that usually tend to be obstructed by walls and ceilings, thus offering the perfect yacht to set anchor in a bay and immerse into the marine environment. Of the six renowned design studios to submit proposals back in 2017, it was RWD who realized Benetti’s vision and took it even further. The Oasis 40M concept introduced a revolutionary combination of five aft-deck features, so distinctive that the terms “beach club” and “beach area” no longer apply. Oasis 34m external viewAmong others Oasis Deck™ features a pool integrated in a flush deck close to the sea and within the social area, an unobstructed 270-degree view off the stern and opening wings, extending the deck close to water but safe from the waves.B.NOW 66M Oasis beach club In the wake of the first model’s success, Benetti quickly returned to the studio to collaborate with RWD on a younger sister to expand the Oasis family. The Oasis 34M, smaller and with a completely different engineering package, still offers the same now-famous five features of the Oasis Deck™, even preserving the side-loading tender garage. The Bonetti/Kozerski firm from New York which created the interiors of the 40M, distinguishes the 34M from her big sister with a sportier and more youthful interior theme, a fresh look for the elegant and lofty open-concept spaces onboard. The owner may also choose a less traditional layout, with formal dining in the upper deck skylounge and a more relaxed main deck, furnished with sofas, a TV area and a bar forward.B.NOW 50MThe B.NOW 50M can now be ordered with an Oasis Deck™, which takes full advantage of the larger canvas. It is a perfect fit for the 50M, even further elaborated into new features: a large shaded american bar and a wellness area for fitness and spa on the lower deck, which can also serve as a dedicated adventure room, with dive racks, kayaks and other equipment.B.NOW 50MThe Oasis Deck™ has also been adapted into the new B.NOW 66M Oasis, the ultimate expression of Oasis Life and flagship of the Oasis family. As you board the yacht and walk across the platform, you are immediately in contact with the whole space, which includes the huge swimming pool, the extensive fixed sun pads, the full complement of social seating, the upper terrace, the exterior dining and bar, and even the main saloon with an internal cocktail bar. Nearly 50% of the main deck is dedicated to Oasis Life. Oasis 34M beach club “During these last months, the models including the Oasis Deck™ have become a reference to meet the needs of a growing segment, and the concept is so strong that owners of much larger superyachts are fascinated. So far we have already sold 14 Oasis 40M, 3 Oasis 34M, presold before the official presentation of the project, and 6 B.Now 50M with the Oasis Deck™. The philosophy of the Oasis Life goes beyond the line of products and has been adopted throughout the industry. The secret to our success is anticipating trends and interpreting hidden desires, while finding the perfect partners for production and design, forging collaborations that go the distance. It is easy to imagine a future, where, for a growing number of superyacht owners, the essential onboard spaces will include the sun deck, upper deck, bridge deck and the Oasis Deck™,” says Marco Valle, Azimut|Benetti Group CEO. Silent-Yachts Opens Offices in Mallorca and Florida
Silent-Yachts, the innovative Austrian shipyard, opens two new offices on both sides of the Atlantic. A new European office is now open in Port Adriano – Mallorca, one of the leading yacht harbours in the West Med.A Silent 55 and Silent 64 are docked in front of the office, ready to take clients to the sea for a test drive. Later this summer the new Silent 60 with a kitewing will also arrive at Port Adriano.“Our new base is like our second home”, said Michael Köhler, Silent-Yachts Founder and CEO. “Mallorca and the Balearics in general are popular yachting destinations, sunny, warm, with clean azure seas and many amazing places that have to be visited on board a yacht. The new office helps us keep our solar electric catamarans close to our clients and partners – we’re always open for a chat, visit or sea trial.”Another office will be opened in the US. In order to get closer to customers, the shipyard’s exclusive US distributor Edward Sacks sets up a branch in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the yachting capital of the Western Hemisphere. “Florida is the hot spot for the US yachting enthusiasts and we’re happy to take a seat in the region,” said Michael Köhler. “The location is close to the site of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, it has direct water access and a comfortable conference room for product demonstrations.”Silent-Yachts is producing the world’s first fully solar-sustainable oceangoing production catamaran yachts. They are powered exclusively by solar energy and capable of cruising up to 100 miles per day. In 2009, founders Heike and Michael Köhler, who have spent 6,000 days cruising more than 75,000 miles all around the world, launched the Solarwave 46, the first fully self-sufficient blue-water catamaran after years of testing solar-powered propulsion, and they have been building boats ever since. Ferretti Group Has Introduced the New Dolceriva With Hard Top
The new Dolceriva with hard top has a timeless beauty in every sense, because it will never lose its shine over the years and is also immune to the weather thanks to the top with carbon fibre detailing that shelters the entire central relaxation areas from the sun and rain. This Riva creation is a 48-foot open motor yacht conceived from bow to stern to offer unrivalled on-board comfort. Born from the collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, the firm led by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta that has designed the entire Riva fleet for over 25 years, the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, and the Product Strategy Committee, Dolceriva is 14.92m long with a full beam of 4.26m.The originality of the exterior design derives from a blend of Riva’s trademark elegance with the latest trends in runabout design, such as an automotive-inspired vibe and a sportier interpretation of the idea of luxury. The hull window design stems from a complex research process by Officina Italiana Design: generated by a black pencil stroke along the silver side of the yacht, it deftly ascends towards the deck. This stylistic solution has led to an original and innovative hull-deck coupling system: the aft area, totally freed from the fender bar, features a carbon-fibre air vent with a steel frame. One of the great strengths and novelties of this open yacht makes an important contribution to liveability: the brand new hard top made from a carbon-vinyl ester hybrid composite material to ensure the lightweight, strength and stiffness needed to ensure that Dolceriva retains a sporty personality. The hard top is designed to cover the entire external cockpit and helm station perfectly, with the possibility of closing off the entire area beneath using transparent awnings on either side, forward and even aft. Several sections of the hard top are made of steel not only to increase its strength, but also to enhance the structure and design. An air conditioning system can also be installed inside to create a liveable closed area even when the temperature outside is very high. All materials used for Dolceriva's interiors are perfectly in keeping with the Riva style, with fine woods, mirrored surfaces, leather elements, and steel and lacquered woods with both matt and glossy finishes.Dolceriva features a V-Drive shaft line propulsion system and mounts twin Volvo Penta D13 engines, each rated 1,000 mhp at 2,400 rpm (optional). In terms of performance, the model can reach a top speed of 40 knots, with a cruising speed of 35 knots.Riva is part of the Ferretti Group. This Group, led by Chief Executive Officer Alberto Galassi, is now one of the world’s leaders in the construction and sale of luxury yachts and pleasure vessels with a unique portfolio of brands: Ferretti Yachts, Riva, Pershing, Itama, Mochi Craft, CRN, Custom Line and Wally. Discover Unexplored Design Horizons: Sanlorenzo Presents X-Space
X-Space is a new concept of superyacht, representing the pinnacle of Sanlorenzo's experience and innovation. With a length of 44m, five decks and a tonnage of 495 GT, extraordinary volumes for a yacht of this size, X-Space expands the brand's range by launching a new type of superyacht, designed for expert owners who love to explore faraway destinations, without relinquishing the unmistakable elegance of Sanlorenzo's lines. The new project a perfect synthesis of Explorer and the classic navette. Emblematic of Sanlorenzo's understated approach is the aft area on the main deck of the X-Space, a huge multi-tasking terrace with an 18 sq. m swimming pool overlooking the sea, as if it were infinite water, which can be closed off during transfers or whilst in the marina. An open-air living room, available to the owner and guests, that can be extended by another 18 sq. m thanks to the folding balconies and which is connected to the living area inside. An innovative element of the X-Space is the unusual layout that brings the wheelhouse onto the bridge deck, freeing up the upper deck which is dedicated entirely to the owner. In line with Sanlorenzo's sartorial attitude, X-Space offers an "apartment in the villa", an entire deck with maximum privacy that is independent from the other areas, it includes a study, living room and a large master cabin framed by glass walls, which enjoys the presence of nature around it and overlooks a private deck at the bow, a 30 sq. m sunbed area which includes a swimming pool. The X-Space project is also strongly characterised by the theme of transparency, which has characterised the design of the exteriors, by Studio Zuccon International Project, and made it possible to eliminate barriers and obstacles, achieving total fusion and continuity with the interiors, designed by Piero Lissoni. The first unit of the new model will be delivered in 2023. Sanlorenzo was founded in 1985 in Viareggio by yacht builder Gionvanni Jannetti. In 2005, Massimo Perrotti became the majority shareholder in the shipyard. Sanlorenzo builds yachts ranging from 28.60m to 62m in length. Credits: Sanlorenzo
