The second Amels 60, known as Project Witchcraft, has emerged from the Amels and Damen Yachting drydock in the Netherlands. Featuring exterior design by Espen Oeino, she has a Gross Tonnage of 830 GT, and accommodates 12 guests and 12 crew.
The launch of Amels 6002 was met with much anticipation. A reflection of the hyped-interest has generated the design of this new Amels 60 Limited Edition. As she rolled out of the build shed where she has spent the last 12 months since arriving in Vlissingen for outfitting, onlookers were treated to a first glimpse of this 60-meter's bright and light color scheme and a notable change to the exterior styling of the signature windows, customized to meet the owner's requirements. Moran Yacht & Ship have represented the owner throughout the build.
Amels 6002's customized windows are a great example of an innovative build approach which maximizes customization opportunity whilst still providing fast delivery, a proven technical platform and tried and tested naval architecture and sea-keeping capabilities.
She features hybrid power and propulsion technology, and the overall design focuses on the onboard user experience. There is an emphasis on space throughout with the large sun deck, swim platform and folding owners suite balcony and even space for a 9-meter luxury tender to be stowed on the foredeck. The light and airy interior has been customized to the personal requirements of the owner by an interior designer of the owner’s choice.
"Watching 6002 head outside for the first time signifies everything the team has achieved since she arrived here in Vlissingen last July. And by team, I mean everyone involved in making this milestone happen – the Damen Yachting team, the owner's team and all our co-workers. It's down to the great collaboration between all of these parties that we are standing here admiring this stunning new 60-meter in the daylight and open air. I am looking forward to the final outfitting phase now and getting her out on the water!" says Arie Midavaine, Damen Yachting project manager.
She is scheduled for delivery later in Autumn this year.
Damen Yachting, a division within the Damen Shipyards Group, was created in 2019. The division combines the pedigree and heritage of Amels yachts with a growing portfolio of SeaXplorer yachts and Yacht Support vessels.
