1. JK Rowling is reportedly selling her 48m yacht
47.6-meter Amphitrite, allegedly owned by the author of the Harry Potter series, JK Rowling has been put up for sale at an asking price of €17,800,000. Built as Anatolia in 2001 at Turkey-based, Proteksan Turquoise, the superyacht has an Edwardian style, exterior design by Taka Yachts and an interior design by Redman Whitely Dixon. Capable of accommodating 10 guests in 5 cabins, the yacht carries a crew of 9. From a technical standpoint, she can cruise at 12 knots, powered by twin Caterpillar engines of 480hp each.
Luiz De Basto unveiled design concept DP009 for a 91.5m Oceanco yacht in 2011. Now the project seems to become a reality as Jan Oosterboer from Dutch Yachting captured the transport of the superstructure while en route from Aluship in Gdansk, Poland to the Oceanco yard in Alblasserdam, The Netherlands.
Italy based designers behind 85m St. Princess Olga, Star concept and M/Y A logo will present SHY superyacht concept at the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show. Information about the project remains scarce but it is confirmed that the concept will have 110m LOA. Lightweight and translucent, the superyacht has no visible horizontal deck spaces outside. According to the designers, that's how they see the way to express a feeling of privacy from outside which doesn't compromise panoramic views from inside.

Delivered earlier this year, the 70-meter Feadship, Joy may look like a conventional yacht but a closer look at the superyacht would reveal a set of unique features such as its basketball court and bow tender garage. With a net stretched around the bow to prevent the ball from falling overboard, a basketball rim is set up to allow guests to play whilst at anchor. Beneath the basketball court is an open garage that plays host to two large tenders.

Designed by Luca Dini, she represents a sportive and elegant vessel capable of reaching a maximum speed of 19.5 knots. and a cruising speed of 18 knots. Dutch Yachting has shared the photo of Y712 (Project Solar) leaving Oceanco’s shed in Alblasserdam yesterday. With 105m, Project Solar is the largest sailing yacht ever built in the Netherlands. Nuvolari Lenard Design is responsible for both the exterior and interior design and Oceanco & Dykstra Naval Architects for the naval architecture. The yacht features a DynaRig having the ability to operate entirely on solar power.
Dynamiq Yachts, the company originated in Monaco in 2011, has launched its first superyacht, 39m Jetsetter at Marina di Carrara in Italy. London based design studio Bannenberg & Rowell is responsible for her interior styling. Jetsetter has been designed in Monaco, engineered in Holland and constructed in Italy at the NCA shipyard. The yacht can sleep up to 8 guests in 4 staterooms. Performance wise Jetsetter is powered with a pair of 1,800hp MAN V12 1800 engines twinned to Fortjes pod drives providing her with a top speed of 21 knots.
