In a grand unveiling at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Centounonavi announced its official entry into the Saudi maritime world. The event, held in mid-December 2023, marked a significant moment for the Viareggio-based shipyard as it presented its cutting-edge yachts to an esteemed audience, including Saudi royals and prominent business figures from the Arab world.
Centounonavi, founded by naval engineer Marco Arnaboldi, showcased a complete range of yachts during the presentation, including Vespro (16.70 meters), Forza (28 meters), and Eterea (39 meters). The event culminated with the signing of a dealership agreement between Marco Arnaboldi, representing Centounonavi, and His Royal Highness Naif Bin Abdullah Bin Saus Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, through his company Durah al Fodah.
The distinguishing feature of Centounonavi yachts lies in their ability to achieve speeds close to 60 knots, thanks to refined custom-made construction and water-jet propulsion. This performance is not compromised by environmental concerns, as the shipyard places a strong emphasis on 'green' content.
Marco Arnaboldi shared, "The participants attending the presentation were impressed not only by the unique aesthetic and performance characteristics of the Centounonavi yachts but above all by the 'green' content aimed at having a smaller impact on their precious Red Sea."
The dealership agreement, facilitated by His Royal Highness Naif Bin Abdullah Bin Saus Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud's company Durah al Fodah, aims to promote Centounonavi's yachts in Saudi Arabia. Durah al Fodah will manage all technical and commercial aspects, including the purchase of a demo boat for enthusiasts keen to experience the thrill of cruising at 55 knots in maximum comfort and an environmentally friendly manner.
The innovative 'Fast Is Green' approach adopted by Centounonavi incorporates environmentally friendly solutions. The use of recycled PVC foams and other sustainable materials in construction aligns with the shipyard's commitment to eco-sustainability. The yachts boast maximum weight containment and efficient hull shapes, leading to reduced fuel consumption. Additionally, waterjet propulsion minimizes harm to marine life, emphasizing the shipyard's dedication to environmental responsibility.
The meeting also showcased Protea Srl's revolutionary Ozojet antifouling system, designed exclusively for Centounonavi. Particularly effective in the warm waters of the Red Sea, this system addresses the challenge of fast-growing marine vegetation.
Centounonavi's range of yachts, with their hydrojet propulsion, promises superior speed, acceleration, and maneuverability, along with reduced noise and vibration. The floating interiors provide effective insulation, ensuring a vibration-free experience even at speeds exceeding 58 knots.
Vespro, at 16.70 meters, is a powerful fast cruiser reaching a top speed of 57 knots, powered by two 1,200 hp MAN 8V engines. Forza, the 28-meter model, equipped with three 2,000 hp MAN 12V engines, achieves a maximum speed of 60 knots. Eterea, the 39-meter superyacht, combines hybrid carbon composite construction with four MTU engines (2,600 hp each), reaching a top speed of 58 knots.
Centouno Navi was founded by the designer and entrepreneur Manuela Lucchesi, with the collaboration of the naval engineer Marco Arnaboldi. The idea behind the projects of the Viareggio-based shipyard is to deliver uncompromising performance through a refined 'custom-made' composite construction combined with water jet propulsion.
