80-metre Heesen's superyacht Project Cosmos with interior by Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design
Previously, YachtHarbour has reported that Heesen sold its 80-metre Project Cosmos. Now, the Dutch yard is announcing that Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design has been appointed by the owners of Project Cosmos to design the interior of their new yacht. This is the third collaboration between Heesen and the award-winning Dutch studio. Previously, Sinot worked on the design of Azamanta, the first in the 55m Fast Displacement Steel class, and the 70m FDHF multi-award-winning Galactica Super Nova, Heesen’s largest yacht launched to date.At 80.07 metres, 1,700 Gross Tons and with a top speed of 29 knots, Project Cosmos will be the world’s largest and fastest full-aluminium motor yacht with conventional propeller propulsion system. The interior design for this exciting project is inspired by elements from nature. Natural mathematics, such as the Fibonacci sequence, form the basis for the interior architecture. Together with clear graphic lines the result is a clean architectural environment. Special, featured materials, such as backlit onyx, straw marquetry and crystal glass panels are framed within the architectural lines to emphasise the beauty of these materials.Custom design furniture elements constructed from glass, marble, metal, and various types of wood add the finishing touches to the interior décor. The shipyard’s main interior workshop is situated in Winterswijk, 120 kilometres from Oss, and provides more than 7,000 square metres of working space. Here, skilled cabinet makers work on up to five Heesen projects simultaneously, and is where all of the luxury areas are created. At the shipyard in Oss, 30 craftsmen work on the interior for all of the service areas.Project Cosmos, with exterior lines penned by Winch Design, is due for delivery in April 2022.
53-metre superyacht Tala by Turquoise
New renderings of the 53-metre project Tala has been released by Turkish yacht builder Turquoise Yachts. The delivery of this yacht with an usual 720GT, with three-decks and DeBasto Designs interior and exterior design is expected in 2020. The layout includes an owner's suite and VIP forward on the main deck and four further guest suites on the lower deck. Her hull and superstructure are completed.Luiz de Basto said : “With Tala’s enormous volume, my objective was to make the exterior less bulky and give a feeling of a forward dynamic movement, rather than a static feel. I wanted the design to show movement and purpose from any angle. I achieved this with the long ascending line from the swim platform all the way up to the mast and down to the pilothouse windshield.”With everything oversized on board, it is no surprise to find a massive swim platform at the stern that simplifies and makes tender operations far safer and more convenient for guests and crew. The fun continues inside with a gym and sauna on the beach deck. Throughout the yacht, DeBasto has incorporated natural separations between crew and guests with secret alleys on both the main and lower deck to enable non-intrusive service when needed. Large windows will bring natural light into the endless precious woods and other natural materials that will characterise Tala’s living spaces. Tala is fitted with twin 1,300 HP Caterpillar engines, with an expected top speed of 15 knots.
The launch of the Baglietto 48-metre hull #10228 is expected in July
News from La Spezia, Italy, June 11, 2018. The construction of the Baglietto 48m hull #10228 in steel and aluminum, weighing in under 500GT, proceeds according to the scheduled plans, and she will be launched in July 2018.This 48m sister ship of motor yacht Andiamo includes many upgraded spaces. Francesco Paszkowski Design, drawing inspiration from the traditional, stylish features of Baglietto’s other ships, designed the sleek exteriors. The Baglietto Interior Design, combining modernity and luxury, planned the layout of the interiors. The vessel boasts over 350sqm (3767 sqft) of luxurious spaces, with room for many new features. The exterior spaces are vast, with the sundeck alone composed of 140sqm (1506 sqft) of al fresco space, including dining space, a sunbathing area, and an infinity pool. The upper deck includes a second al fresco dining area as well. The contemporary and elegant interiors, designed by the Baglietto Interior Design, include four guest cabins on the lower deck, in addition to the master suite on the main deck. The clear colors of the Italian national walnut, perfectly combined with touches of gold and bronze, create a sophisticated and warm atmosphere, lightened by the Canaletto nut pattern used for the floors in the living areas. Light-shaded carpet and cream-colored leather with irregular cuts of inlayed wood on the walls have been chosen for the accommodation areas. Floor to ceiling windows provide excellent natural light and views on the main deck and the skylounge. The galley – expressly designed for fine dining - includes a central aisle with direct access to the walkin cold rooms. Inspired by transatlantic cruises, special attention has been given to the storage areas, including a luggage room. The placement of the tender and toys in the foredeck allows more space to be dedicated to the Beach Club, which offers 47sqm of space to relax with a steam shower, bar and an additional area perfect for a gym, massage or spa/relaxation space. The Beach Club faces the sea, ideal for those tranquil moments on the water. The 48m #10228 is powered by 2 Caterpillar engines 3512 C DITA-SCAC, which allow the ship to reach a comfortable top speed of 16kn and cruising speed of 12kn. The yacht is in the highest class of the Lloyds Register of Shipping. The new Baglietto 48m is available for sale, and she will premiere worldwide at the next Cannes Yachting Festival and Monaco Boat Show in September 2018.
