With an original hull built by Sevmash in Russia, the yacht was then assembled by Blohm + Voss and delivered in 2012. Reportedly, the yacht features a 15m by 3m indoor swimming pool as well as a helipad. Kosatka is a 82.00m (269.03 ft) luxury motor yacht. She was built by Blohm + Voss in 2013. With a beam of 13.90m and a draft of 3.75m, she has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. This adds up to a gross tonnage of 1100 tones. She is classified by Lloyds.

She is powered by MTU 16V 4000 M70 engines of 3100hp each, capable of reaching a maximum speed of 17.6 knots and cruise at 14 knots for 5500 nautical miles.
