Boat shows, new projects, and new achievements – here’s what really caught our reader’s attention in December.
The 61st Antigua Charter Yacht Show was held from 4–9 December. Some of the largest yachts in the world have gathered on Antigua, we have compiled a list of those that could not be missed, including the legendary Christina O and incredible Feadship’s Faith.
Heesen Yachts has shared the first visuals of the interior spaces of its 50-meter Project Orion, with the interior being made by Cristiano Gatto and his team. 499 GT Orion’s internal volume involves more than 37 different materials, including high gloss woods, woven leather, marbles and custom carpets. The yacht is scheduled for delivery in February 2025.
Another resounding success for the Azimut Benetti Group – it earns the first place in the annual ranking of Global Order Book 2023 by Boat International. With 168 projects under construction, totaling 5,991 meters in length, Azimut Benetti Group leads, for the 23rd time in a row.
Project Setteesettanta was sold by Heesen to a former shipyard’s clients. Frank Laupman of Omega Architects has been tasked with the design of the exterior lines of this new project, while Cristiano Gatto Design is responsible for the interior. The laying of the keel is scheduled in August 2023.
A96 is the newest Arcadia Yachts project with the interior made by Igor Lobanov, who was asked by the yard to decorate the settings with natural and where possible eco-friendly materials, opting for a design with soft lines and furnishings that are pleasing to the touch. A96 will premiere at the 2023 Cannes Yachting Festival.
