Philippe Briand will present three new projects at the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival 2023, which will be held from the 12th to the 17th of September.
Bluegame BGM75
This yacht will make a world debut in the motoryacht category. The project started in 2020 and represents the first motor “twin hull “ ever built by Bluegame, part of the Sanlorenzo group. Thanks to its multihull, the BGM75 benefits from increased stability, large volumes, and reduced fuel consumption.
“The reason why we named it “twin hull” instead of power catamaran is because of the width of the platform which is not that of a sailing catamaran, or that of a traditional monohull, it is in between. We chose this solution after experiencing excessive “rocky “ movement on beamier sailing catamarans while cruising. With reduced distance between the two floats, we achieved much smoother rolling, almost like a monohull, while still maintaining higher stability,” says Philippe Briand.
CNB 78
Another awaited world premier. The CNB78 project is the upgraded version of the CNB76. The study of this 23m sailing yacht follows the acquisition of the brand CNB by the Solaris Group in 2021.
“We have designed the CNB78 following the tradition of all the CNB models we have worked on since 1985 and in addition we took advantage of the new group to propose something new and future oriented, keeping an eye on the new size limit of 24 meters for mooring in the Med,” comments Philippe Briand.
Jeanneau Yachts 55
Originating in March 2020 during the Covid period, the Jeanneau Yachts 55 emerged as a remarkable result of its time. Crafted in collaboration with the Jeanneau team (a part of the Beneteau Group) and Winch Design, the Jeanneau Yacht 55 has already achieved remarkable success, with over 15 units sold within just 5 months.
According to Philippe Briand, "Our aim was to extend the principles initially introduced in sailing catamarans to sailing monohulls. This led us to conceive an exceptionally innovative layout, where the heart of the onboard living space finds its place outdoors amidships, all while being completely sheltered. This ingenious arrangement opens up ample aft space, creating a delightful al fresco beach club, while a private owner's suite is elegantly positioned forward, incorporating the galley and lounge."
