Custom Line has launched its first all-aluminium 50-meter superyacht, marking a significant milestone for the brand. The new flagship, Custom Line 50 M/Y Asante, made its debut at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona on June 8. The launch was celebrated with a private ceremony attended by the owner's family, shipyard management, and employees.
Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi highlighted the innovative aspects of the new yacht. "The new Custom Line 50 represents cutting-edge research and innovation in both style and materials. Aluminium offers significant performance and fuel consumption benefits," he said. The Custom Line 50 opens a new market segment for the brand, with its design focusing on maximizing light and water exposure through detailed studies of the yacht's volumes and spaces.
The 50-meter yacht, built entirely from aluminium, features a displacement hull under 499 GT, a length of 49.94 meters, and a beam of 9.60 meters. The project is a collaboration between the Product Strategy Department led by Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Superyachts Division Engineering team. Filippo Salvetti designed the exterior, while ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel crafted the interiors, blending marine tradition with contemporary design.
Brokerage house Performance Boats USA, LLC represented the owner in the project. The yacht spans four decks, with the master suite located forward on the upper deck, offering a 180-degree view and direct access to a private terrace with a lounge area and sunpad. The yacht also features four VIP cabins on the lower deck, accommodating a total of 12 guests and 9 crew members, including the captain.
Asante emphasizes on-board liveability and comfort. The yacht’s design enhances the connection between interior and exterior spaces, particularly in the main and upper deck lounges, which feature large floor-to-ceiling windows. A beach club at the water's edge connects to an aft outdoor area on the main deck, which includes a private lounge and a rectangular pool in the stern.
Asante will make her world debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024.
