Last Saturday, the youngest self-made billionaire ever Kylie Jenner celebrated her 22nd birthday aboard 91.5-metre Oceanco charter superyacht Tranquility off the coast of Italy, according to entertainment news outlet TMZ. The vessel was formerly known for her ownership by Jho Low under the name Equanimity, before she was seized and auctioned by the Malaysian government.
Kylie Jenner is a renowned media personality, member of the Kardashians family, businesswoman and the founder and owner of Kylie Cosmetics company launched in 2015. At the age of 21, she was named The Youngest Self-Made Billionaire Ever by Forbes (still, the title that many tabloids call in question).
The makeup mogul’s personal net worth is currently estimated at $1 billion, while in 2018, her company’s revenue increased at 9% to an estimated $360 million. At the moment, the company is worth no less than $900 million, while Jenner owns a 100% stake.
During the party, Jenner posted several photos on her Instagram account, dressed in a white gown by Oscar de la Renta.
Built by Oceanco in 2014, Tranquility has been hitting headlines since summer 2018. In August 2018, the Indonesian authorities seized Low Taek Jho’s superyacht at the request of the US Department of Justice, and transferred her to Malaysia. It is alleged, that the yacht was originally purchased by Low Taek Jho using money embezzled from the 1MDB state fund.
Shortly afterwards, Tranquility was put on sale as a part of the effort to recover funds stolen by Low and his cohorts from the state fund. In April 2019, the deal was closed on the vessel’s acquisition by Genting Malaysia Bhd for $126,000,000, which made only half of her initial price. In the meantime, the vessel’s maintenance had cost the government over $3,500,000 since her reclaiming in August 2018.
Tranquility was the first superyacht designed and built to be fully Passenger Yacht Code (PYC) compliant. She features exteriors by Oceanco’s in-house design team and interiors by Winch Design.
The yacht can accommodate up to 26 guests on-board, along with 28 crew members. The yacht is also trademarked with extensive spa area on the lower deck, plunge pools and customised interior.
Tranquility’s interior was designed by Andrew Winch and along with Travatino Veluto marble and bleached oak with wenge finishing, the decor has a subtle, oriental influence. In the upper saloon, a fully operational, perspex-cased piano is a spectacular show piece, and there’s a luxuriously comfortable lounge area as well as a formal dining room for 12.
Guest facilities include a spectacular aft beach club next to a fully-equipped gym with a large balcony on the starboard side allowing direct access to the sea, and an indulgent spa suite - complete with a sauna, Hammam, experiential showers, plunge pool and a massage/treatment room.
On Tranquility’s aft upper deck, the large Jacuzzi pool takes centre stage, with an outdoor bar and sun loungers. Another Jacuzzi lays found forward, with this area directly accessible from the master stateroom.
The master suite features a private owner’s study and a large bathroom with a free-standing bathtub. The interior configuration allows for 9 further guest cabins, with two VIP suites. Furthermore, there are separate crew quarters for up to 29 people.
Tranquility achieves a top speed of 18 knots and comfortably cruises at 15 knots. She is fitted with zero speed stabilisers which increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor.
The yacht will has been made available for charter in the Western Mediterranean in summer, and in Caribbean Sea in winter, all from from €1,100,000 per week.
Arcon Yachts has confirmed the sale of two new-build Benetti Oasis 40M models, with both units scheduled for delivery in 2027. Baglietto has launched L’Instant, a 40-meter superyacht from its shipyard in La Spezia. The vessel is the first in the DOM 133 series to feature an "interposed" hybrid propulsion system, distinguishing it from earlier models like Bee, Astera, and Jules. The hybrid system, which combines a diesel engine with an ultracompact electrical motor installed between the engine and gearbox, is designed to operate with HVO biofuels, reportedly reducing CO2 emissions by up to 90 percent.The new system occupies additional technical space, leading to modifications in the yacht's layout. The 5.8-meter tender and two Jet Skis are now stored on the upper deck, equipped with a 1600kg davit for handling.Designed by Stefano Vafiadis, L’Instant features an angular profile and customized interiors by Leonardo Santi. Changes include relocating the galley from the main deck to the lower deck, making space for an additional VIP cabin. Both the VIP cabin and the forward master suite include automated windows for natural ventilation, while lower deck guest cabins feature custom portholes with the same functionality.Interior staircases have been redesigned to connect all decks up to the sundeck, where a multi-purpose bar is equipped with a dumbwaiter. The pool area has been replaced with an outdoor gym. Interiors incorporate eco-friendly materials, including carpets and fabrics made from recycled ocean plastic and regenerated industrial waste.Powered by its diesel engines, L’Instant can achieve a maximum speed of 17 knots. Dearsan Shipyard has unveiled Queen Yaz, a 50-meter superyacht currently under construction and scheduled for delivery in 2026. The steel hull and aluminium superstructure have already been completed at the Turkish shipyard.The yacht's design is the work of Red Yacht Design, an Istanbul and London-based studio, responsible for both the exterior and interiors. Described as "modern and cozy," Queen Yaz is designed with a focus on outdoor living. The sundeck serves as the main social area, featuring a hot tub, sunbeds, lounge sofas, a bar, and a dining space.
