Last Saturday, the youngest self-made billionaire ever Kylie Jenner celebrated her 22nd birthday aboard 91.5-metre Oceanco charter superyacht Tranquility off the coast of Italy, according to entertainment news outlet TMZ. The vessel was formerly known for her ownership by Jho Low under the name Equanimity, before she was seized and auctioned by the Malaysian government.
Kylie Jenner is a renowned media personality, member of the Kardashians family, businesswoman and the founder and owner of Kylie Cosmetics company launched in 2015. At the age of 21, she was named The Youngest Self-Made Billionaire Ever by Forbes (still, the title that many tabloids call in question).
The makeup mogul’s personal net worth is currently estimated at $1 billion, while in 2018, her company’s revenue increased at 9% to an estimated $360 million. At the moment, the company is worth no less than $900 million, while Jenner owns a 100% stake.
During the party, Jenner posted several photos on her Instagram account, dressed in a white gown by Oscar de la Renta.
Built by Oceanco in 2014, Tranquility has been hitting headlines since summer 2018. In August 2018, the Indonesian authorities seized Low Taek Jho’s superyacht at the request of the US Department of Justice, and transferred her to Malaysia. It is alleged, that the yacht was originally purchased by Low Taek Jho using money embezzled from the 1MDB state fund.
Shortly afterwards, Tranquility was put on sale as a part of the effort to recover funds stolen by Low and his cohorts from the state fund. In April 2019, the deal was closed on the vessel’s acquisition by Genting Malaysia Bhd for $126,000,000, which made only half of her initial price. In the meantime, the vessel’s maintenance had cost the government over $3,500,000 since her reclaiming in August 2018.
Tranquility was the first superyacht designed and built to be fully Passenger Yacht Code (PYC) compliant. She features exteriors by Oceanco’s in-house design team and interiors by Winch Design.
The yacht can accommodate up to 26 guests on-board, along with 28 crew members. The yacht is also trademarked with extensive spa area on the lower deck, plunge pools and customised interior.
Tranquility’s interior was designed by Andrew Winch and along with Travatino Veluto marble and bleached oak with wenge finishing, the decor has a subtle, oriental influence. In the upper saloon, a fully operational, perspex-cased piano is a spectacular show piece, and there’s a luxuriously comfortable lounge area as well as a formal dining room for 12.
Guest facilities include a spectacular aft beach club next to a fully-equipped gym with a large balcony on the starboard side allowing direct access to the sea, and an indulgent spa suite - complete with a sauna, Hammam, experiential showers, plunge pool and a massage/treatment room.
On Tranquility’s aft upper deck, the large Jacuzzi pool takes centre stage, with an outdoor bar and sun loungers. Another Jacuzzi lays found forward, with this area directly accessible from the master stateroom.
The master suite features a private owner’s study and a large bathroom with a free-standing bathtub. The interior configuration allows for 9 further guest cabins, with two VIP suites. Furthermore, there are separate crew quarters for up to 29 people.
Tranquility achieves a top speed of 18 knots and comfortably cruises at 15 knots. She is fitted with zero speed stabilisers which increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor.
The yacht will has been made available for charter in the Western Mediterranean in summer, and in Caribbean Sea in winter, all from from €1,100,000 per week.
Mengi Yay has released interior renderings for its inaugural 52.6-meter NL 50 Plus model, currently under construction in Istanbul with scheduled 2026 delivery. The superyacht, designed in collaboration with Italian studio Nuvolari Lenard, features naval architecture by Dutch firm Van Oossanen.The interior scheme employs a warm palette with minimalist lines and premium wood finishes. The layout includes a 50-square-meter owner's suite featuring a sliding balcony, private office, and spa bathroom. StellarPM has introduced the ST88, an 26.8m raised pilothouse motoryacht as the newest addition to its StellarONE Series. The steel/aluminum vessel offers a 2,800-nautical-mile range at 10-knot cruising speeds, with twin Caterpillar C18 ACERT 615hp engines meeting IMO Tier III emissions standards.The ST88 features an AH36 carbon steel hull with aluminum superstructure built at StellarPM's Hai Phong shipyard, while pre-engineered interior modules are fabricated at the company's Zhuhai facility. Italian shipbuilder AB Yachts has delivered the inaugural 39.7-meter AB 130 model, named Effe, to its owners. The high-performance motoryacht reaches speeds exceeding 40 knots through waterjet propulsion while maintaining a shallow 1.3-meter draft.Effe's design incorporates an innovative expandable beach club with twin stern wings that create a 100+ square meter seaside terrace when deployed. The main saloon spans 50 square meters with floor-to-ceiling windows providing panoramic views. Florida-based MarineMax broker James Corts has facilitated the sale of a new Ocean Alexander 35R to longtime clients, marking their fourth yacht purchase through Corts in two years. The experienced owners, previously operating vessels between 60-88 feet, took delivery of the 35-foot model for private cruising in Florida waters.The buyers selected the 35R for its enclosed skylounge configuration, climate-controlled upper deck, and crew accommodation layout. Columbus Yachts has launched its new 42-meter Crossover model, M/Y Big Naan, at its Savona shipyard in Italy. The steel-hulled explorer with aluminum superstructure was built for an American owner, with construction supervised by owner's representative Trevor van Wyk and brokerage handled by Zarpo Yachts.Designed by Hydro Tec with interiors by Hot Lab, the Crossover 42 features explorer-style exterior lines with a bulbous bow and distinctive angular superstructure. The yacht accommodates 11 guests across four lower deck cabins and a full-beam master suite on the main deck featuring a central bed, walk-in wardrobe, office area and bathroom with separate shower compartment. Crew quarters provide for nine staff members.The aft deck combines leisure and functional spaces with a 17-square-meter swimming pool and tender storage served by a built-in crane. A beach club on the lower deck incorporates a hydraulic door and receives natural light through side windows and a glass-bottom pool.
