Maritimephoto.com has provided us with the photos of 47m Heesen project Ruya undergoing sea trials on the North Sea. The superyacht was designed by Omega Architects, whilst Dutch yard's engineering team was responsible for the naval architecture.
The award-winning Bannenberg & Rowell studio has been selected to create Ruya's interior design. Dickie Bannenberg said they took an idea of movement as the foundation for the new interior concept for Project Ruya.
Expect a taut muscular and fluid design with sporty, hi-tech finishes. The ambience will be fresh and light with textiles, carpets and graphics discreetly referencing themes of energy, direction and progress. We feel this is synonymous with Heesen's progressive and contemporary brand values
The superyacht features a total of 180 sqm of deck space and 85 sqm sundeck area. She will comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in 4 staterooms on the lower deck. Spacious and comfortable exterior seating areas will be found on all aft decks with an additional lounge space located on the foredeck.
A 47m full-displacement yacht just under the 500GT threshold has zero-speed stabilizers that ensure maximum comfort at anchor, while her well-engineered steel hull with bulbous bow provides smooth and safe cruising in all sea conditions. Performance wise, two MTU 8V 4000 diesel engines will power Ruya up to a top speed of 15 knots with a transatlantic range of 4,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
Heesen has recently sold 55m Alida, currently under construction at the yard's facility, on the first day of the Palm Beach International Show with Barin Cardenas of the New Yachts Company responsible for the sale. The Dutch shipyard has also unveiled more information about 50m project Maia available for delivery in 2018.
