On June 1st, the wallywind110, the first in Wally’s new wallywind performance cruiser range, was launched. This significant milestone comes just over a year after the introduction of the wally101 Full Custom and marks the beginning of a series that will also include the wallywind130 and wallywind150. The second wallywind110 is already under construction.
“The launch of this first semi-custom sail model since Wally became part of Ferretti Group in 2019 is a very significant moment for us,” stated Stefano de Vivo, Managing Director of Wally. “Not only does it coincide with the brand’s 30th anniversary, but it also confirms the ongoing relevance of the sailing superyacht sector for Wally. We have always been leaders in this segment, and we aim to continue setting market trends by creating yachts that become benchmarks in both yachting and design.”
The launch event was attended by the management of Wally and Ferretti Group, along with the team and workforce involved in the project and their families. They gathered to witness the new superyacht make its first touch with the sea.
The wallywind110 features a bright metallic paint with blue reflections on its all-carbon hull, designed by the team at judel/vrolijk & co. The paint shifts tone with changing light, enhancing the yacht's elegance. The deck layout, developed by Wally’s internal design team in collaboration with the Santa Maria Magnolfi studio, was also showcased.
“The wallywind110 is not just a superyacht that promises impressive performance,” explained Luca Bassani, Wally Founder and Chief Designer. “Wally has always been synonymous with both performance and design. The thoughtful design of the wallywind110’s deck spaces has resulted in an 80 square meter cockpit, free of technical equipment which has been relocated to the stern. This space is comparable to that of a sailing superyacht at least 60 meters long, allowing the owner and their guests to relax on sofas, sunbeds, and seating. Additionally, there are two other lounge areas located on the ‘sea terrace’ at the stern and on the foredeck.”
The Ferretti Group, led by Chief Executive Officer Alberto Galassi, is now one of the world’s leaders in the construction and sale of luxury yachts and pleasure vessels, with a unique portfolio of brands: Ferretti Yachts, Riva, Pershing, Itama, Mochi Craft, CRN, Custom Line and Wally.
