The beginning of 2020 was marked by the launch of many large yachts. The article will cover 5 major superyachts ranging in size from 99 to 63 meters.
1. 99 m Moonrise yacht by Feadship
Feadship presented its latest superyacht project in Makkum (Netherlands). This yacht is considered the largest superyacht in terms of the length of the waterline built in the Netherlands.
The yacht successfully combines elegant lines going from the bow to the stern with a modern strict profile. Long windows of the case, magnificent light gray case complement design elegance.
Moonrise has a 15.5-meter beam and is equipped with a pair of MTU engines for a maximum speed of 19.5 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots.
2. 80m Bilgin 263 by Bilgin Yachts.
The first 80-meter superyacht Bilgin 263 became the longest superyacht ever built in Turkey by Yachtley yard.
The exterior and naval architecture was designed by Unique Yacht Design, the interior by H2 Yacht Design.
Yacht can speed up to 20 knots, while the cruising speed 12 knots keeps her fuel consumption as 250 l/h. She is built in compliance with IMO Tier III certification and is considered to be the most environmentally-friendly yacht in her class.
3. 73m Project 705 by Feadship
The 72.8-meter project 705 by Feedship was first taken out of its canopy in the Netherlands.
The project is a joint project of the Dutch builder and the British design studio RWD together with the naval architects De Voogt and interior by the Italian design house FM Interior Architecture & Design.
4. 68m Soaring by Abeking & Rasmussen
Abeking & Rasmussen have confirmed the launch of their new 68-meter superyacht, Soaring.
Designed by Focus Yacht Design and managed by Superyacht Technical Services, the yacht comes in at a size of over 1,500 GT.
Soaring's upper deck features its master suite with a private owner's aft deck and a library. The yacht's remaining 5 guest cabins will be located on the main deck and catered to by a crew of 17.
5. 62.5m Limited Editions by Amels
Designed by Tim Heywood as part of the Amels limited-edition line, the 62.5-meter superyacht is dressed in a light gray hull and a white superstructure.
Interior design is the result of a collaboration between Laura Sessa and the Amels interior design team.
Other features include two VIP suites on the bridge deck, a large sun terrace with a jacuzzi and grill, and a garage for two eight-meter tenders on the lower deck.
