Huge interior and exterior volume
Alpha Custom Yachts worked with Italian superyacht designer Giorgio Cassetta and naval architect Laurent Giles to create a distinct vessel with an elegant interior layout as well as a well-thought-out exterior space for the Spritz 116. Like many Alpha yachts, the interior of this yacht prioritizes comfort without compromising personal space. The size of the heads and the width of beds in the twin cabins are similar to a 145’ yacht. In the VIP cabins, the beds are king-size, providing plenty of room to move around.
This is made possible by an exceptionally wide beam – the molded beam is a rare 26’11” on a yacht of this length. For comparison, the beam of yachts of comparable length is often at least 3 feet less. Aside from the obvious implication it has on volume, the hull design (combined with lightweight composite construction) has also resulted in an extremely shallow draft of 5’8”, which is desirable for cruising in areas like the Bahamas to the Sea of Cortez in Mexico.
Alpha Spritz 116 outdoor spaces have several spots available to lay out in full sun or shade. The aft deck features a hydraulically operated platform capable of supporting a tender, an impressive plunge pool that can be covered with teak to serve as a dance floor, an outdoor lounge overlooking the pool, and a stunning outdoor dining area–more on that later. Another spacious lounge with plenty of seating is found on the foredeck, and the 100 sq. m flybridge deck boasts not only lots of space and panoramic views.
Enclosed exterior dining
Family-owned shipbuilder Alpha Yachts is known to build its vessels with shared space and family in mind. With that notion, all its yachts feature an extremely well-planned outdoor dining space. The Spritz 116 aft deck includes a vast and well-protected dining area large enough for 12 guests–something that doesn’t often happen on a yacht of its size. The space is enclosed for a pleasant and comfortable outdoor dining experience.
The covered alfresco dining space is located forward on the aft deck and connects the outdoor beach club and the interior main salon. It is fitted with a large marble dining table and a portside wet bar. Overhead, the teak ceiling helps wick away moisture and is specially designed to include air conditioning vents, LED lighting, and a surround sound system.
Endless customization options
The Spritz 116 can be furnished and adapted as you see fit and to your liking. Any specific custom features might be added.
For the shipbuilders and designers, “the whole vision…was addressing the needs of people who own those boats, rather than those of the yard – to ignore compromises that are usually accepted to make yachts cost-effective and unnecessarily conservative in style and layout,” Cassetta explains. Key examples are the 7’ 3” ceilings, extensive sound insulation, floating floors, crew cabins with elevated beds, gentle and wide stairs, wide beds, full-size showers and closets, custom paint touches at the waterline and on the radar domes, and so much more. But above all that, there is so much more that can be customized.
Alpha Custom Yachts was founded by two brothers, Jorge And Roberto Aboumrad, who recount that their love for the sea started at an early age. They began their journey in the industry over 30 years ago, founding Performance Boats, which is now the largest boat dealer in Mexico. Sacs and Kiton have unveiled their collaborative project, the Strider 13 KNT x Sacs, at the summer edition of Pitti Uomo 2025. The partnership combines SACS’ nautical expertise with Kiton’s sartorial craftsmanship through the KNT - Kiton New Textures project.The result is a unique version of the Strider 13, Sacs’ iconic and most successful model. The vessel measures 13.50 meters in length and is powered by three 400-hp Mercury Verado V10 engines. The design, created by renowned international yacht designer Christian Grande, features elegant and bold aesthetics that reflect the shared values of both brands.Nicola Antonelli, Sacs Tecnorib CMO, commented: “This collaboration stems from a natural convergence between two Italian examples of excellence. The aluminum vessel is part of the company’s S-Force line and was fully designed by the Group’s in-house Centro Stile.Raja² was developed in close collaboration with IYC and Med Waves Charters to meet the owner’s specific requirements. Dutch shipyard Oceanco has launched its latest megayacht, Y726, measuring an imposing 111 meters in length and boasting a displacement of 4,550 GT. The vessel is set to undergo sea trials in the coming months before its official delivery later this year.Commissioned in 2022 by an experienced yacht owner and longtime Oceanco client, Y726 features exterior design work by Espen Øino International and interior design by Mark Berryman Design. The naval architecture was developed through a collaborative effort involving Lateral Naval Architects, the Oceanco team, and Dan Jackson of Falcon Yacht Management, who represents the owner.While Y726 ranks among the largest vessels in Oceanco’s portfolio, it is slightly smaller than the yard’s current largest motor yacht, Infinity. Delivered in 2022, Infinity measures 117 meters with a volume of 4,978 GT, compared to Y726’s beam of approximately 15 meters.The new megayacht is equipped with an array of luxurious amenities. The interior includes a cinema lounge, gym, spa facility with sauna and steam room, and a beach club with an outdoor bar leading to a swim platform. Exterior features comprise a winter garden, covered cocktail area, outdoor cinema, private owner’s area with hot tub, and a multi-purpose entertainment zone featuring another hot tub and swimming pool. Sirena Yachts has unveiled the interior design details of its latest superyacht model, the Sirena 118. The 36-meter vessel, with a gross tonnage below 300 GT, marks the introduction of the Turkish shipyard’s new, larger composite line.The first hull of the Sirena 118 is currently under construction in Yalova, Turkey, with an expected completion date in 2026. The yacht features Sirena’s distinctive plumb bow design, which provides additional volume within the spacious hull.The vessel’s layout includes an owner’s stateroom occupying the forward section of the main deck, complemented by a VIP cabin and up to four guest cabins on the lower deck. A unique feature of the owner’s suite is the option to span two decks in a loft configuration. The yacht also boasts direct water access via a spiral staircase leading to a large relaxation area with a fold-down swimming platform.The yacht’s naval architecture was developed by renowned Argentinian naval architect Germán Frers, while Sirena’s in-house design team handled the exterior styling. The interior design is the work of Dutch design studio headed by Cor D. Rover, offering a customizable layout emphasizing material layering and natural light.The interior features dynamic wood veneer applications, integrated lighting, and a sophisticated color palette including creamy upholstery, light wood tones, and bronze accents. The design creates a serene atmosphere with soft indirect lighting and natural textures that adapt to changing daylight conditions.Cor D.
