Camper & Nicholsons has announced the delivery of 40.5m RJ 130 to her new owner. A new build project from Cantiere delle Marche, she was originally sold by Camper & Nicholsons Sales Broker Richard Higgins before being sold a second time by Camper & Nicholsons New Build Division to its current owner.
This is the first model in the Italian shipyard’s RJ series. During the process, Camper & Nicholsons worked closely with Cantiere delle Marche and the Francesco Paszkowski Design team.
“It was a great pleasure to work with an owner who was keen to bring his experience to CdM,” says Vasco Buonpensiere, co-founder and Sales & Marketing Director of Cantiere delle Marche. “Choosing CdM, he offered a serious statement of trust in our yard's reliability and construction quality. It is inspiring and a reason for pride to see that a growing number of experienced and motivated owners prefer CdM to build their yachts."
It was built around a desire to spend as much time at sea as possible, because the owner has a strong passion about the ocean. RJ, therefore, is tailored, from both a technical and design point of view, to accommodate these requirements. As a result, she has two additional Class notations (on top of RINA Class): COMF (Y) and MON SHAFT (Y). COMF (Y) highlights the reduced noise and vibrations on board and MON SHAFT (Y) showcases her special shaft line, optimizing class surveys without hauling the yacht.
A technical marvel, RJ also has notable features on both her exterior and interior design, an area where the owner was also very involved. The high-gloss grey hull is perfectly complemented by darkly hued fine details to give the yacht a truly sculptured design.
A variety of outdoor areas are located throughout RJ’s decks: the aft main deck, aft upper deck, and sundeck, each designed to ensure maximum enjoyment, whether hosting an evening dinner party or soaking up the warm rays of sunshine.
RJ’s comfort-focused interior is capable of accommodating ten guests across five cabins. She features a full-beam owner’s suite with a private lounge, two double cabins, and two twin cabins – each with en-suites – on the lower deck. The interiors are timeless and sophisticated. Large windows throughout the yacht further highlight this harmony, allowing warm natural light to stream through.
CdM's story begins in 2010. The facilities cover an overall surface of 16˙000 square meters, including 7˙000 sq m of workshops and 1˙000 sq m of docks. Since 2015, the shipyard has been the world’s leading builder of explorer yachts. Based in Ancona, Cantiere delle Marche builds yachts from 26m to 43m in length.
