Technohull, a manufacturer of high-performance luxury boats, has expanded its production facility in Lavrio, Greece. This facility, which first opened in 2021, now includes over 25,000 square meters of covered production space. The latest expansion adds new infrastructure including a building for GRP production, multiple automotive-style painting booths – one of which is 25 meters long – and new areas dedicated to CNC machining, carpentry, and decking.
The facility’s total area has increased by 20 acres, bringing it to 70 acres. The covered manufacturing space has more than doubled from 12,000 square meters to over 25,000 square meters. This expansion aims to address the growing global demand for Technohull's boats and accommodate more complex projects.
Technohull's CEO, Gerasimos Petratos, highlighted that the expansion was driven by increased production needs and the development of new, challenging projects. The expanded facility includes advanced equipment such as a 20-meter-long 5-axis CNC unit, spray booths, and post-curing ovens.
The new infrastructure is designed to support every stage of boat production, from design to final fitting. Technohull's expansion is expected to improve production efficiency and capacity, allowing the company to handle larger and more complex projects.
The company reports significant growth over the past two years, with a 55 percent increase in production in 2024 compared to 2022. The workforce has also expanded from 120 to over 220 employees, and turnover has risen by approximately €10 million annually. This growth reflects the impact of the expanded facility and the rising demand for Technohull's boats.
Greece company Technohull launched its first hull in 2004. The most popular Technohull models of today include: Omega 45, 38 Grand Sport, 909, Explorer 40 and SeaDNA999.
