Technohull has inaugurated a brand new shipyard and commercial headquarters in Lavrio in the southeastern part of Attica next to Olympic Marine.
The prime site covers an area of 12,000 sq/m with the capacity for an immediate expansion to 16,000 sq/m and includes a purpose-built facility for efficient production where expertise and cutting-edge technology meet craftsmanship of the highest standard.
Completed in mid-2021, it is one of the most advanced boatyards in the mid-size boat segment anywhere in the world. Its state-of-the-art infrastructure along with the scale of the investment that exceeds the amount of 20 million euros and is expected to benefit not only the industry at large but the local community as well, have already attracted significant attention at a local and international level.
“Our new production facility represents one of the largest investments ever made in our sector in Greece and one of the largest internationally,” says Technohull CEO Gerasimos Petratos. “The new facility enables the company to further pursue its goals and establish a competitive presence in the global arena. This is the beginning of a new era for Technohull.”
The ultra-modern facility is perfectly organised to execute every step of the production process, from concept development, design and prototyping to final production, engineering and fitting out, while its proximity to the sea allows for easy testing and sea trials.
Cutting-edge equipment includes small scale milling machines to a 5-axis unit of 20m in length produced by the leading Belotti Spa company able to carry out all in-house prototyping tasks and accelerate the design process.
Other high-tech installations include fully controlled spray booths, a post-curing oven, micro-finishing paint booths, as well as lean and environmentally friendly production processes to ensure the highest boatbuilding quality and, most importantly, the capacity to complete even the most demanding projects.
The facility is manned by design, engineering and production teams comprising highly skilled and energetic professionals to guarantee that each element is designed for purpose down to the last detail and carefully controlled throughout the entire production cycle for optimum quality.
