Otam 70HT that made its world debut at Cannes Yachting Festival 2021. Otam 70HT features one-off design by Giuseppe Bagnardi BG Design Firm and engineering and hull lines by Umberto Tagliavini Marine Design.
“The design is strongly inspired by the aeronautical world and luxury sports cars,” says Giuseppe Bagnardi di BG Design Firm studio. “It was essential to design the new 70-footer by taking into account the proportions and lines that have always distinguished Otam yachts.”
Strong attention has been paid to details and stylistic features typical of the Otam brand such as the low center of gravity, the large air intakes on the sides of the sundeck in the bow, as well as on the hard top. All air intakes convey into the spacious engine room, as in every Otam yacht. The exhaust vents are cleverly integrated into glossy black grilles in the aft bulwarks either side of the swim platform and can be accented with strip LED lighting, to become another design element themselves.
As with all Otam products, customization is a trademark and a clear corporate choice. The owner of the first Otam 70HT chose a cockpit and salon with sofa seating along the portside for hosting large groups. Another cool design feature is the up-and-down electric glass screen separating the interior lounge and exterior cockpit, specifically requested by the owner. The glazing completely retracts between the two C-shaped sofas and, when lowered, opens up the interior and cockpit to provide a single en plein air space so owner and guests can interact whether they are inside or outside. The new Otam 70HT offers a comfy sunbed on top of the transom tender garage together with a second generous volume sun bed on the foredeck, integrated in the center bow muscle.
A key feature of the interiors is the futuristic dashboard, also designed by Giuseppe Bagnardi BG Design Firm. It’s inspired by the aeronautical and automotive world and the design resembles the console of a jet fighter.
There are different options also available on the accommodation deck: Otam does not impose any solution but it designs the interiors together with the customer, always delivering an exclusive final product.
The first unit is powered by twin 2000-hp MTU engines coupled to Arneson drives and custom Otam-Rolla propellers. The shipyard also offers a most powerful version with 2400hp CAT, reaching a top speed of 53+ knots which, combined with the hull designed by Marine Design by Scorzoni Tagliavini and Moltedo, ensures an unparalleled efficiency. Seakeeper gyro stabilizers can be fitted for best comfort both under way and at anchor.
The shipyard’s history started in 1954 in Liguria. Its professionalism is what made it stand out, very quickly becoming the first authorized Riva yacht Service Center for the Med Sea. In the 80’s Otam fit around 25 yachts for an American builder before starting his own production of Otam 45’ and 55’, earning significant attention. Today Otam has produced around 90 yachts, becoming an Italian specialist, and, together with its custom range, offers a limitless choice between 45’ and 130’.

German yacht builder YYachts has launched the Y6, a 20-meter sailing yacht designed for single-handed or short-handed operation. The carbon-epoxy constructed vessel combines customizable layouts with performance-focused engineering for autonomous cruising.The Y6 offers owners configuration options including three or four cabins, an office space, crew quarters, or a customized owner's suite. Interior materials include oak, walnut, and mahogany, with clients permitted to employ external designers. VisionF Yachts has unveiled interior details of its VISIONF 101, a 30.7-meter aluminum power catamaran currently under construction at the Turkish shipyard. The vessel, scheduled for launch in autumn 2025, represents the builder's largest project to date and will be the first aluminum catamaran of its size built to RINA Commercial Class standards.The VISIONF 101 features a shallow 1.45-meter draft designed for coastal cruising and access to secluded bays. Accommodation includes four guest cabins, with the owner's suite spanning 29.5 square meters across half of the starboard hull. The layout provides an 18-square-meter bedroom, 6.5-square-meter dressing room, and 5-square-meter ensuite bathroom. The Azimut|Benetti Group has named Andrea Antichi as General Manager of its Azimut division, effective May 12, 2025. Dynamiq has released new exterior images of its 52-meter GTT 170 superyacht, currently under construction at its Antalya shipyard in Turkey. The aluminum-hulled vessel, designed for shallow-water cruising with a 2-meter draft, targets owners in the U.S. and Middle East markets, with delivery scheduled for the 2027 Mediterranean season.The GTT 170 features naval architecture by Vripack, combining a top speed of 19 knots with IMO Tier III-compliant MAN V12 1,066 kW engines and an integrated battery pack. The stabilization system includes four electric fins and a Hull Vane aft foil to reduce pitch motion.Accommodation comprises five guest staterooms and an owner's suite, with a two-level beach club featuring a pool, bar, and spa with fold-out terraces.
