Nordhavn Chief of Design, Jeff Leishman, has revealed plans for an ultra-versatile 34-meter super yacht that combines comfort and amenities with manageable requirements. The concept arose from the need for a model between the Nordhavn 120 and Nordhavn 96, offering a perfect balance for potential buyers seeking a true expedition yacht without the need for a full crew.

With a focus on keeping it under 400 gross tons, the N112 will require only a small crew to operate efficiently. The full displacement hull will facilitate transoceanic voyages with ample fuel capacity. Leishman has emphasized outdoor lounging areas, including balcony-inspired deck spaces, folding bulwarks, a flybridge spa tub, and a grand forward lounging area.

The yacht's layout features four guest cabins, a spacious owner's suite, accommodations for up to six crew members, and ten heads. Built from steel, the N112 will benefit from faster production times compared to FRP tooling, with the superstructure possibly crafted from aluminum or FRP for added convenience.

Currently, Nordhavn is searching for a suitable European steel construction yard to build the first hull, with subsequent vessels to be built on order.
Nordhavn Yachts grew from the small yacht brokerage and import company based in Dana Point, California. Pan Asian Enterprises (PAE), was founded by Jim Leishman, Dan Street and Joe Megle back in the 70’s. Back in 1988, when the sailing yacht market was facing a decline, Pacific Asian Enterprises, Inc. (PAE) ventured into a new project: a 14m motor yacht designed by Jeff Leishman, Jim's brother. Inspired by the classic style of North Sea fishing trawlers, the design was named Nordhavn, derived from the Norwegian term "North Harbor." To this day, Nordhavn remains the trading name of Pacific Asian Enterprises, Inc. and produces yachts from 12 to 37 meters.
