The new 14.6m Zeelander 5 was revealed at the Cannes Yachting Festival. Like her big sister the Z72, the Zeelander 5 is even more voluptuous than her predecessors. Zeelander’s DNA is all there, but with curvier lines and a sportier S-shaped shearline. In-house styling and the combined experience of the entire Zeelander team make the new Zeelander 5 a work of art.

A sophisticated yacht that stands out and can be personalised to its owner’s taste. The exterior is a continuation of the lines of the successful Z72 and the interior design is truly exceptional for a yacht of this size.”
The Zeelander 5 has improved functionality – side-boarding doors and a passarelle allow easy entry, a full walkaround cockpit gives access to the swim platform. And most importantly, the Zeelander 5 can be opened up for the summer months with a sunroof and retractable sliding window aft, or sealed off for cool winter cruises.

The new boat is broader in the beam, which offers many benefits. There is greater volume below, naturally, but also better hydrodynamics and cruising characteristics. Running at full throttle, the boat makes an easy 45 knots, but all you’ll hear is the sound of the wake astern. Riding at anchor, the generator and aircon produce just 46dB – literally whisper quiet.
Owners suite in contemporary style
Flick the backrests over to create twin pilot seats for effortless control of the yacht’s systems. Performance options include twin or triple Volvo Penta IPS 500 or 650 pods, for a maximum of 1,440hp. It makes for a blistering ride, certainly, but Volvo’s Assisted Docking technology also makes light of close-quarters manoeuvring.

The standard layout offers a huge master cabin aft with a walk-around bed and a dedicated dressing area. Smart features include a TV mounted at an angle over the bed, broad windows for views of the anchorage from your pillow and a beautiful leather-clad dressing table. The sophisticated ambient lighting concept runs to an illuminated sill under each door.

Guests or family will enjoy a luxurious V-shaped twin forward, with a TV and a hatch overhead. The separate shower and toilet also offer an exceptional standard of finish. The owner can choose from the four carefully curated moodboards that offer a range of luxurious styles and finishes to perfectly match an owner’s personality.
The first Zeelander 5 is expected to hit the water in mid-2022.
Zeelander Yachts was founded in 2002 in the Netherlands by Sietse Koopmans. The first model was unveiled to the public in 2008. The launch model Z44 received positive reviews at the Monaco Yacht Show and drew enormous crowds, despite being at an event dominated by much larger yachts. Within three years, the Z44 had been successfully introduced to the US as well as Europe, and it was an obvious direction to add a larger model to the fleet. The first Z55 was delivered in November 2015, and the flagship Z72 was launched in March 2019.

Damen Yachting has successfully relaunched the refurbished superyacht Albatross, formerly a 72.2-meter Delta Marine vessel, following a comprehensive 26-month refit and transformation. The relaunch took place in Vlissingen, marking the culmination of an extensive express refit executed by Damen Yachting, renowned for its expertise in both refits and new builds.Albatross underwent a remarkable transformation, with significant alterations to its exterior and interior. Italian shipyard Maiora, part of the Next Yacht Group, has unveiled the first model in its new M line, the Maiora M|36. Measuring 37 meters in length, the M|36 features a composite hull and superstructure spread across three decks.Designed in collaboration with Italian studio Quartostile, known for its work on the Maiora 36 Exuma, the M|36 sports a sleek, sporty profile characterized by an "interplay of light and shadow," with contrasting hull tones, dark glazing, and warm teak accents. The exterior design combines aesthetic appeal with functionality, expressing a holistic approach to design informed by engineering principles.Interior design for the M|36 is credited to Italian studio Acube Design in conjunction with Maiora's in-house Centro Stile, which previously worked on the Maiora 36 Exuma. Natural materials dominate the layout, promoting comfort, practicality, and wellness, while flowing forms and continuous surfaces foster a serene atmosphere.The M|36 accommodates up to 12 guests in five cabins, including an owner’s suite spanning the yacht’s width on the main deck. Below deck, four additional guest suites are complemented by quarters for a crew of five. Cantieri di Pisa’s refit division has experienced a significant surge in orders, with intense activity reported across over 30 boats currently in progress. The division has witnessed a fivefold increase in sales in 2024 compared to the previous year, reflecting heightened demand for refitting services.Among the notable projects underway are three superyachts built by esteemed manufacturers: a 50-metre Benetti, a 41-metre Feadship, and a 43-metre Perini Navi sailing yacht, all nearing completion. Additionally, Cantieri di Pisa has secured orders for three larger superyachts, each measuring 50, 41, and 43 meters, respectively, which are slated for imminent handover to their owners following extensive refit and renewal work.Marco Massabò, CEO of Cantieri di Pisa, expressed satisfaction with the division’s achievements, emphasizing increased sales and expanded facilities. The refit division’s workspace now spans 24,000 square meters, employing approximately 20 internal staff members, with another 10 specialists soon joining the team.
