Yersin is an extraordinary go-anywhere trans-ocean explorer. She has just recently undergone a refit at Sud Marine shipyard in Marseille.
Named after the legendary 19th-century scientist and explorer, Yersin strives to combine state-of-the-art technology with a range of 15,000 nautical miles for serious exploring. This innovative eco-focused boat is known as one of the planet’s most environmentally friendly since Yersin makes zero emissions.
The boat with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure was built by Piriou in 2015. Unfortunately, there are not too many completely clean and green vessels, but she is a true masterpiece inside and out.
The exterior design of this eco-friendly world cruiser was made by Pierre Jacques Kubis Naval Design. This incredible eco-focused explorer has been awarded Clean class notation for her potentially low impact on the environment. Guests of the boat are able to experience truly unique adventures but do it in a very comfortable way, with a level of relaxation, which the luxury yacht can provide.
The availability of Yersin is as flexible as it could be. Classified as all-weather sailing, the vessel can be chartered in a huge list of destinations from the Baltics (Norway, Finland, Russia, Iceland) to the Pacific (Kamchatka, Japan, and Antarctica). It is really impressive, that she can withstand 70 degrees temperature difference, from -20 degrees to over 50 degrees Celsius.
Her interior offers accommodation up to 18 guests in 9 cabins, including a master suite, 2 double cabins, 4 twin cabins, and VIP stateroom. Yersin also has accommodation for a 24-person crew with additional cabins for helicopter/seaplane pilots
The serious innovative and technological character of this explorer combines perfectly with elegant and cozy styling, beautiful and comfortable furnishings. Yersin also provides a long list of luxury features comprising an elevator, connecting all guest levels, Spa & Gym, a research laboratory, a conference room, a teppanyaki grill, a media room, a professional diving facility, a hospital, a helipad, tender garage, and a sundeck with a swimming pool.
Styled by the owner’s own design team, Yersin’s light interior was inspired by the ships of the early 20th century.

Cantieri di Pisa’s refit division has experienced a significant surge in orders, with intense activity reported across over 30 boats currently in progress. The division has witnessed a fivefold increase in sales in 2024 compared to the previous year, reflecting heightened demand for refitting services.Among the notable projects underway are three superyachts built by esteemed manufacturers: a 50-metre Benetti, a 41-metre Feadship, and a 43-metre Perini Navi sailing yacht, all nearing completion. Additionally, Cantieri di Pisa has secured orders for three larger superyachts, each measuring 50, 41, and 43 meters, respectively, which are slated for imminent handover to their owners following extensive refit and renewal work.Marco Massabò, CEO of Cantieri di Pisa, expressed satisfaction with the division’s achievements, emphasizing increased sales and expanded facilities. The refit division’s workspace now spans 24,000 square meters, employing approximately 20 internal staff members, with another 10 specialists soon joining the team. Dutch design studio Mulder Design has revealed Project Sharp, a 50-meter superyacht concept focused on "quality family time." Described as a departure from conventional designs, the concept emphasizes a "fresh perspective" centered on meaningful experiences both on and off the yacht.Project Sharp distinguishes itself with a minimalist, elegant profile defined by sharp lines and expansive glazing, capturing natural light and blending indoor and outdoor environments. Spacious interiors, featuring 2.2-metre-high ceilings and panoramic views, reinforce the connection to the surrounding elements.Externally, the yacht offers various inviting spaces, including a walk-around deck and private sun deck, providing uninterrupted views from multiple angles.
