Nobiskrug has announced the sale of a new 83 meter superyacht named Okran. The superyacht was sold by Burgess, who will also act as owner representative, project manager and technical consultant during the construction process. Project Orkan, Hull 799, will be designed by Harrison Eidsgaard. It will be the first collaboration between the German shipyard and British design studio.
"We are extremely proud to have been selected to work on this prestigious new build and look forward to once again working alongside our industry colleagues at Nobiskrug and Harrison Eidsgaard," said Ed Beckett, Head of New Build Sales at Burgess.
The 83m vessel will spread between six decks and feature a helicopter landing pad, generous exterior living areas and a spacious beach club. According to Peter Eidsgaard, "The pure white surfaces appear to have been sculpted over a subframe, which creates a distinctive appearance with very simple graphics."
The fully customized yacht will also have a hybrid propulsion system including batteries and an electronic anchoring system.
“Our collaboration with Burgess and Harrison Eidsgaard is based on strong shipbuilding expertise on all sides. Nobiskrug prides itself on building yachts for the future, ships that will stand the test of time. We are delighted to be working on Project Orkan with these respected partners,” comments Philipp Maracke, CEO of Nobiskrug.
German shipyard Nobiskrug was founded in 1905. Recognised today as one of the world’s foremost builders of spectacular fully custom superyachts, the shipyard is famous for the 92m Tatoosh, the award-winning 68m Sycara V, the 74m Mogambo, the 143m industry-changing Sailing Yacht A, and the environmentally innovative 80m Artefact.
