In February, 2018 YachtHarbour wrote about construction process of the 88.5-metre superyacht Illusion Plus. In April, 2018 YachtHarbour has reported that 88.5-metre yacht Illusion Plus was launched by Chinese yard Pride Mega Yachts on April 11 in Yantai. Now, the yacht has successfully completed sea trials. With the interior volume of 3,603GT, she is now the largest superyacht built in China and enters the list of the top 100 largest superyachts in the world. The project goes back to 2007, but was freezed due to the financial crisis. The keel was laid back in 2010 when the company was named CIMC Raffles Yacht. In 2011 the project was presented to the market, and in 2013, when the hull and superstructure were completed, the company was renamed Pride Mega Yachts. In 2014 it was announced that she is sold with Fraser and Bluewater.
Illusion Plus is built from a steel hull and aluminium superstructure to ABS standards, with exterior design by British studio Rainsford Saunders Design, which took inspiration from Rolls-Royce cars, with a straight vertical bow and gently sloping transom. Interior design is created by Dutch studio Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design and installation works were done by Dubai-based Greenline Yacht Interiors. Illusion Plus will accommodate up to 12 guests and 25 crew member, with master suite, two VIP cabins, two doubles and a twin room.
Her key features include a helipad on the foredeck, a tender garage with a capacity of three tenders, superyacht spa with sauna, steam and massage room. Powered with twin 3,000hp Rolls Royce diesel-electric engines with a top speed of 16 knots and the cruising speed of 14 knots, Illusion Plus would be able to cover a distance of 5,000 nautical miles, thanks to her fuel tanks of 261,000 litres.
