Amatasia is a 85m luxury motor yacht, built by Lurssen and delivered in 2017. She has a young and sporty profile.



Igor Makarov, russian billionaire and ex owner of the boat, invented the name Areti as his company’s name Itera spelled backwards. Until 2015 he owned three yachts named Areti, Areti I and Areti II. Later he sold his natural gas company Itera for US$ 2.9 billion. In 2018 his yacht Areti was listed for sale, asking €175 million. She was sold in 2019 and renamed Amatasia.



British studio Winch Design made both: the stylish and modern exterior with smooth lines and traditional bright interior styling. With a broad beam of almost 15 meters, she has a very spacious layout, which has been designed for use by family and friends. The design is in line with the Passenger Yacht Code, with a precise and perfectly balanced signature.



The Amatasia features accommodation to 18 guests in 9 spacious cabins, including owners’ deck, below the brigde deck, harbors the owners’ suite and two double VIP cabins, two more guest staterooms on the main deck, and another four on the lower deck. Also she accommodates up to 28 crew members.



“With the well-executed trompe l’oeil effect, your eye tells you it is real timber,” says Matthew Wilkinson, project manager at Winch Design. The luxury superyacht is made of steel and aluminum. But the wood in her central stairwell is a veneer over aluminum. “Certain areas aboard governed by these regulations have to be flame retardant and have to allow for watertight compartments and escape routes, both in the guest accommodations and in the engine room,” says Dietrich Kirchner, project manager at Lürssen.



The bridge deck features a gym and a hot tub is just through double glass doors. Forward are the captain’s cabin, there are ship’s office and the bridge. The central lobby has an elevator that services all desks.



There is a sky lounge on the upper deck. The master suite features a private spa pool, sun bed and breakfast table. Amatasia also has a helipad in the bow, which can be used for sun lounging.

Her top speed is 17.0kn and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 6000.0nm at with power coming from two MTU engines.

Feadship Joins Nuclear Energy Maritime Organization
Feadship has become a member of the Nuclear Energy Maritime Organization (NEMO), an industry group focused on developing regulatory frameworks for floating nuclear power applications. Aiata to Exhibit at 65th Genoa International Boat Show
Aiata, part of Turkey's Anadolu Group, will participate in the 65th Genoa International Boat Show from September 18-23, 2025. Sanlorenzo Opens Venice Cultural Space with Fabrizio Ferri's "Breathtaking" Installation
Sanlorenzo has inaugurated its new Venice cultural venue, Casa Sanlorenzo, with Fabrizio Ferri's "Breathtaking" installation. The exhibition addresses ocean plastic pollution through thirteen portraits of public figures including musician Sting and actor Willem Dafoe, who attended the opening event.The exhibition runs from September 2 to November 23, 2025, at the restored 1940s villa redesigned by Sanlorenzo's artistic director Piero Lissoni. The space features an oval-shaped installation with large-scale photographs mounted on black walls, centered around a glass coffin filled with seawater. Visitors experience the exhibition using noise-cancelling headphones to simulate oceanic silence.Fabrizio Ferri stated the work was inspired by photographs of marine animals suffocated by plastic debris, noting: "The deadly force of the contamination of the seas and oceans that we cause with plastic and microplastics is not only killing the oceans, we are also killing ourselves."Sanlorenzo Executive Chairman Massimo Perotti described Casa Sanlorenzo as "a natural extension of our philosophy, where beauty and responsibility go hand in hand," adding that the exhibition represents "a statement of intent" regarding ocean conservation.The installation previously appeared at Milan's Natural History Museum, attracting 40,000 visitors over four days.
