Heesen Yachts has recently announced that the ownership of its company is once again 100 percent Dutch. The shares of the company have been transferred to an independent Dutch Foundation.
As the shipyard said in a statement, the total sum of shares has been transferred from the group's holding company to an independent Dutch Foundation to "guarantee the successful future of the shipyard and the continuity of employment for the highly qualified employees of Heesen Yachts". The Board of the Foundation consists of Arthur Brouwer and Anjo Joldersma.
The statement also confirms that Heesen Yachts is financially healthy and profitable, and that employment at both its Oss and Winterswijk facilities are fully preserved. Heesen Yachts' order book is full, with 13 projects currently in-build: "Employees can continue to work with their usual dedication and commitment to finishing the 13 yachts currently under construction".
Heesen Yachts is a Dutch ship building company that specializes in custom-built superyachts in aluminum and steel from 30m to 70m in size. Founded in 1978, it has launched more than 170 yachts since its inception.

The 54.30m Amels motor yacht, Ariela has joined the IYC sales fleet. Ariela was launched by Amels in 2011. Her exterior was penned by renowned designer Tim Heywood, while interiors were made by Laura Sessa. Privately owned and never chartered despite the Amels 177 model from the shipyard’s Limited Editions range proving popular on the charter market. She has a large hot tab at the sundeck, a spacious beach club and an al fresco dining space aft on each deck, additional sunpads and loungers at the foredeck. Ariela features an impressive main saloon with a Yamaha Clavinova situated aft and large sitting area. Large windows provide the saloon with natural light. The second upper deck saloon also has an area for socializing.Ariela can accommodate 12 guests across six cabins, including one master suite, three VIP cabins and two cabins. Thanks to two MTU 16V 2000 M70 she can reach a top speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots. Sirena Yachts has announced the debut of its brand-new 78 at the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival. The 78 designed to be a do-it-all cruiser that excels as well as an entertainment platform as she does on longer-range voyages. The Sirena 78’s flying bridge is available either in open, semi-enclosed or fully enclosed formats. Sirena decided to offer these options as their clients tend to boat in a variety of locales with differing climates. Each of the latter iterations benefits from super-sized windows that let in natural light and also allow for excellent views. The main saloon in Elegance version The 78 will be absent from a main-deck helm station, which opens up space in that area for entertainment.
