Heesen Yachts has announced the christening and delivery of the 50-meter motor yacht ALP (YN 20350) in Hellevoetsluis, South Holland. ALP recently completed rigorous sea trials in the North Sea and is preparing for her maiden voyage.
ALP, part of Heesen's 50-meter semi-displacement series, features exterior design by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects and interior design by Cristiano Gatto Design. She is built with a below 500GT volume and a top speed of 23 knots, with a 2.1-metre draft suitable for cruising in the Bahamas.
Mark Cavendish, Heesen’s CCO, emphasized the significance of the christening tradition, highlighting the strong collaboration with Jim Evans and his team at Superyachts Monaco.
ALP's design focuses on combining fast cruising, comfort, and luxury. The yacht's aluminium construction, precise engineering, and weight calculation contribute to her performance. Heesen is noted for its in-house aluminium hull construction, requiring a high level of technical skill and precision.
The interior, designed by Cristiano Gatto's team, spans almost 380 square meters, providing a luxurious space for relaxation. Heesen Interiors in Winterswijk played a key role in customizing the interior furniture to the owner's specifications.
Outdoor spaces on ALP include an expansive sundeck with a whirlpool, bar, dining area, and forward seating area. The wheelhouse deck aft terrace is designed for al fresco dining, seamlessly connected to the sky lounge via sliding doors. The main deck aft features raised sun pads and a bar, enhancing guest privacy and allowing for a full-height beach club below.
ALP's shallow draft of 2.1 meters makes her ideal for exploring the Bahamas, while her 50-meter length allows access to Mediterranean ports such as Portofino and Saint Tropez.
ALP has departed the Netherlands and is en route to the Mediterranean for her maiden voyage.
