Heesen has shared the shipyard’s latest news – the construction of YN 20150, code-named Project Oslo24, has officially begun. The owners and their family attended the keel-laying ceremony on October 4, and welded their ‘good luck coins’ to section three, where the IMO number was engraved. The ceremony was formally witnessed by a Lloyd’s Register surveyor who signed off this first stage in the yacht’s build.
The 50m yacht will be built on the platform of the 50-metre Steel Class. Project Oslo24 will be equipped with Heesen’s hybrid system, which offers indisputable advantages over traditional diesel propulsion. The owner, an experienced yachtsman, made this choice with the clear intent of creating a yacht that is cleaner, quieter and more efficient than comparable conventional craft.

The Heesen hybrid drivetrain draws on diesel engines and electric motors, together or individually and in any combination, for both propulsion and hotel needs. In the automotive world such systems typically emphasise energy-saving and reducing emissions, but hybrid propulsion at sea has a broader set of aims. Silent cruising and minimal vibration enormously enhance comfort levels on board and are especially appealing during night passages.
The interior is made by Luca Dini Design and Architecture who creates an interior that incorporates plenty of fine details connected to their life at sea and the areas they will be exploring aboard their yacht. Contrasting dark, high-gloss and light matte wood finishes, with a ribbed canneté texture to evoke the forests, blend with soft leather in warm tones to create a snug environment to offer guests a refuge when the air is brisk and chilly outside.

The heart of the system is the yacht’s twin MTU 8V4000 M63 (IMO Tier III) main engines, each one coupled to a water-cooled, 135kW Danfoss electric motor on the same propeller shaft. This streamlined configuration offers versatility, flexible power management, and redundancy, with three operational modes: Silent, Economy and Cruising.
YN 20150 Project Oslo24 is scheduled for delivery in March 2024.

The 34m Blue Jeans was launched in September 2022 delivered by Van der Valk at the end of last year. After the handover at a shipyard in the Netherlands, this all-custom superyacht has cruised through Belgium, France and the UK to London, where she has a memorable shot captured in front of Tower Bridge. Blue Jeans was built for clients who knew exactly what they wanted for their tailor-made raised pilothouse motoryacht. The yacht’s naval architecture was made by Diana Yacht Design, while her exterior and interior was drawn by Guido de Groot Design. The exterior style is closely aligned with the request for high ceilings in the interior, which rise to almost 2.5 meters in the lounge.The yacht’s sleek profile features lots of exterior glass, including for the bulwarks. Her blue hull paint was developed with Alexseal while designer Guido de Groot used colors, surfaces and lights to remove any hint of white. The overall layout entirely reflects the owner’s preferences for everyday use within a multifunctional, multigenerational concept. Blue Jeans is ideal for large groups on day trips and the kind of extended stays onboard involved in her maiden voyage. She can accommodate eight guests. The interior features an intricate fusion of Northern European and Asian styles. A wide variety of materials includes liquid metal walls, copper accents and reconstituted teak in small wooden trims on the walls and ceilings. The master stateroom features rare Lapis Lazuli Blue marble while other fine stones include Nero Marquina and Fior di Bosco in the dining area and White Carrara in the saloon.Blue Jeans carries a fully-custom bare aluminum tender placed sideways in her own large garage. This set-up generated space for a large engine room for the twin MTUs required to give a top speed of 28 knots.Van der Valk is a family-run company building comfortable, innovative and efficient (semi) custom motor yachts from 18m to 45m. Lobanov Design in collaboration with Oceanco has presented a new 88 meter sailing yacht concept named Double Luck or 八+八, which in Mandarin Chinese means "88" – a nod to the auspiciousness of eight in Chinese numerology.The exterior design is inspired by the automotive industry. The bow, with a slight curve, a smooth flank line and long curved lines with minimal sharp edges, became the focus of the exterior design. The yacht has two color schemes – black with copper details or white with yellow gold details. The interior is inspired by Asian Zen design, with its soft lines, organic materials and natural light. Double Luck’s key features include a spacious swimming pool on the aft deck, a beach club with the unfolding terraces, and an impressive winter garden on the main deck.The naval architecture is made by Oceanco and Dykstra Naval Architects. The sailing yacht features Oceanco's emission-cutting LIFE Design and a Dykstra DynaRig sailing system, which was previously installed on 107m Black Pearl.Oceanco was founded in 1987. Right now it is a world-class builder of custom superyachts up to the 140 meters range. At boot Düsseldorf Ferretti Yachts presented the first model in the new range Infynito, which was announced in August 2022. The new range, which contains the brand’s initials (FY) in its name, introduces a style that gives shape to owners’ new needs: seamless contact with the surrounding environment, more sustainable materials and navigation, custom detailing, and a direct link with the sea and the sky. Ferretti Yachts Infynito is the result of collaboration between the Strategic Product Committee led by Mr. Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department. The exterior design and hulls are by Filippo Salvetti, while the interiors are the work of Ideaeitalia.The first model in the new range to debut in 2023 is Ferretti Yachts Infynito 90. With an overall length of 26.97 meters, but Lh under 24 meters and therefore classified as a recreational craft with CE certification, and a maximum beam of 7.33 meters, the yacht is designed to give cruising enthusiasts an incomparable new experience. The yacht has over 100 sq. m of open-air living spaces (almost 50% more than the segment average) and over 140 sq. m of interiors (over 25% more than the average), including a main deck and a skylounge featuring particularly impressive volumes. Owners can choose between different layouts for each deck, ranging from open-plan spaces to more formal settings reserved for day and night time privacy, offering an experience that can be fully customized according to personal needs.“The Ferretti Yachts Infynito range addresses a segment that needed new concepts. The Damen Yachting has announced a milestone moment as the SeaXplorer 58 yacht was lowered into the water. Having emerged from the shed, the yacht will now undergo her final build phase in preparation for delivery to her owner in the coming months. “We are very excited at the successful accomplishment of this milestone of the project. Having seen the yacht in the water for the first time, it's clear to see that she will be a head turner,” said Tolga Karacadal, Operations Manager Yachting at the Antalya shipyard. A custom yacht, the SeaXplorer 58 has been developed with considerable input from her Owner. As a result, she is perfectly prepared to offer the combination of indoor-outdoor living in which the owner can enjoy adventures with friends and family around the world. The interior was developed with Design Unlimited. The SeaXplorer 58 features accommodation for a crew of fifteen as well as two expedition staff. Six spacious suites provide accommodation for up to twelve guests. To facilitate exploration, the yacht features a wide range of toys. In addition to two multi-role tenders, motorcycles, and vehicles for both road and off-road use, this includes a custom 11.4 meter sailboat. When not exploring, guests can unwind in comfort in the cabana-style bar and lounge, featuring an infinity-edged pool, located beneath the Seaxplorer’s certified helideck. On the bridge deck, in addition to the hot tub, the sky lounge and dining area provide connection to the world outside. The yacht also features the SeaXplorer signature bow point observation lounge, giving unrivaled views of some of the most beautiful and unspoiled locations on earth. “It was a breathtaking moment for all involved to see the yacht out of the shed for the first time. She looked spectacular in the winter sunshine, a clear testament to what the combined team in the Netherlands and Turkey, along with our subcontractors, can achieve together. We are looking forward now to putting the finishing touches to the yacht and handing her over to her owner in the spring. After this, we will be continuing our work, creating the first SeaXplorer 60, which is scheduled for delivery in spring 2024,” comments Enrique Tintore, SeaXplorer Design Manager at Damen Yachting.
