Heesen has shared the news about YN 20655 (Project Venus). The latest addition to the shipyard’s best-selling 55-meter Steel Class, is currently in build at Talsma in Friesland, North of Holland. To ensure excellence, Heesen partnered with Talsma for the steel hull construction, separate from the aluminum hulls welded at their facility in Oss. The hull construction is progressing well, with completion at 80%. Transport to the shipyard, engine installation, and joining are scheduled for September of this year.
Luca Dini Design and Architecture has been entrusted with the interior design of Project Venus, boasting a 760 GT layout. It’s the fifth collaboration between Heesen Shipyard and a renowned Italian designer. Silvia Margutti, the head designer, has created a unique and bold identity for the yacht, maintaining a friendly and pleasant ambiance that thrives on contrasts and delivers a distinctive harmony.
Mark Cavendish, Heesen's Chief Commercial Officer, expresses, "Project Venus provides a unique opportunity for clients seeking a yacht that accommodates luxury while remaining compact enough to access small ports in the Mediterranean. With its sturdy hull and excellent seakeeping abilities, it offers safe and comfortable passages in all sea conditions. Powered by two IMO III engines, each with just 1,000 kW, the ultra-performing FDHF hull form allows for a top speed of 15.5 knots."
Project Venus features six staterooms and can accommodate up to twelve guests. The owner's quarters, covering an impressive 96 sqm, are located on the main deck forward. They include a study with a large TV screen and sofa, a double dressing room, an elegant full-beam bathroom with floor-to-ceiling Fior di Pesco Carnico marble, and distinctive Gessi Venti20 Serie in Black metal fittings. The lower deck houses two double and two twin suites, providing ample space for guests. An additional cabin is situated on the bridge deck. The main saloon offers a well-proportioned and continuous space, traditionally shared by a lounge and a dining area. Side windows invite breathtaking sea views, which are reflected and amplified by mirrors, drawing the gaze towards the aft doors.
The sky lounge features outdoor furniture by Exteta, enhancing the connection with the aft terrace. The sundeck boasts a large hot tub connected to the bar and a lounge area, perfect for relaxation and enjoying the panoramic views and lifestyle. The beach club and bar area on the lower deck offer convenient access to the water.
Project Venus is now available for sale, with an anticipated delivery in Q2 2025.
