The 50m superyacht Arkadia (formerly known as №18850, Project Triton) has been delivered to her American owner.
The yacht was sold in October 2020 by David Johnson of Denison Yachting, who introduced the client and worked closely with Thom Conboy of Heesen USA and the sales team at the shipyard in Oss to seal the deal.
“We look forward to seeing Arkadia join her sister ship Omaha on our side of the ocean”, says Thom. “American customers appreciate the quality of a Dutch pedigree yacht, and the Heesen fleet is growing in North America and the Bahamas.”
David Johnson from Denison Yachting represented the new owners. “I would like to thank Heesen for their support and coordination in making this project happen. The yard worked tirelessly to ensure that the yacht is ready for the owners and their family to enjoy cruising this summer. A special thanks also to the owners’ team on board, who have been an integral part of the success of this project. This is the most recent new construction sale for Denison Yachting, and we are excited to continue working closely with Heesen to facilitate the sale of future new builds.”
Arkadia is the second yacht in Heesen’s 50m steel displacement class whose exterior lines are by Clifford Denn. Her luxurious interior is by Reymond Langton.
Arkadia is a full-displacement yacht. Her top speed is 15 knots, and she has a transoceanic range of 3,800 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 13 knots. Perfectly balanced rudders ensure excellent close-quarters maneuverability and, at just under the 500 GT threshold, she is also remarkably spacious for her length.
Arkadia is the first of five yachts scheduled for delivery in 2021 by the Dutch shipyard.
Heesen Yachts is a Dutch shipbuilding company that specializes in custom-built superyachts in aluminium and steel from 30m to 70m in size. Founded in 1978, it has launched more than 170 yachts since its inception.
