After the widely acclaimed 100m Thor, Gresham Yacht Design has revealed the new concept Emir. This 120m superyacht offers a sleek exterior combined with a high interior volume and numerous design features to deliver an exceptional experience for owners and guests.
There are two certified helipads on board to ensure that guests can come and go from Emir without impacting on the activities and plans of the owner.
One of the key exterior features of the helipad above the owner’s private deck are the fold-up bulwarks either side of the helipad contained within the superstructure. This solution provides security and safety once the aircraft has landed, ensuring a smooth and reassured transition from the helicopter into Emir’s interior.
Aft of the helipad is a heli-lobby from which the owners and guests can access the saloons on the decks below. The grand owner’s saloon has a central seating area with balconies leading off on either side. This space includes a dining area, bar and games table. The owner’s full-beam master suite is located forward of this saloon, which has a private exterior deck, a jacuzzi and uninterrupted views forward.
The double-height main saloon has a high ceiling, internal walk-around balcony on the upper level, and access to external balconies on either side via sliding-glass doors on the main deck located one level below.
The aft main deck is ready to entertain, with the key exterior element being a cantilevered swimming pool that includes a glass window facing out to sea. The lower deck includes a generous beach club and wellness centre with gym and cinema.
The tender garage including a dive centre for scuba enthusiasts.
Emir also contains many features to reduce emissions and fully eliminate some. In effect, there’s a mini power station on board to recycle and reuse the available waste. A bio digester eliminates organic waste and produces usable biodegradable nutrient-filled soil together with natural gas. Emissions such as NOX and particulates are reduced by up to 90 percent before they can be released. A wastewater treatment centre is also employed to further reduce emissions.
