The 78.4-metre Abeking & Rasmussen superyacht Eminence has been sold with Burgess representing the seller. The yacht had been listed for sale since March 2019 asking €80 million.
Initially built for a serial yacht owner, American businessman Herb Chambers under the name Excellence IV, the project was sold to a Russian oligarch right before delivery in 2008.
The superyacht was designed inside and out by Reymond Langton Design, giving her Northern European credentials. Classified to Lloyds, Eminence features a beam of 12.4 metres and a draft of 3.2 metres along with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure.
Eminence’ cream-painted steel hull and cloud white aluminium superstructure elegantly conceal the volume of 2,054 GT spread across five decks. Within, she offers accommodation to up to 16 guests across 8 cabins including a master suite with a separate office. A crew of up to 24 can be accommodated, as well.
One of the most outstanding features of the yacht is her bridge deck dining room, which features a horseshoe table surrounded by sliding glass doors that can open the space entirely and deliver panoramic views when closed.
Her sun deck has a large Jacuzzi forward and a bar and lounge aft. Eminence comes fitted with a generous beach club and swim platform. Inside, she boasts a fully equipped gym, massage room and sauna along with a dedicated cinema room.
Eminence’ water toy storage includes a 9.5-metre Novurania tender with 440hp of inboard power and a 9-metre Scorpion RIB with 500hp outboards, plus Sea-Doos, jetskis, SEABOBs, a huge sea pool and an inflatable slide from the bridge deck.
Powered by Caterpillar 3516 DITA engines of 2000 HP each, the yacht reaches a maximum speed at 16 knots and cruises comfortably at 14 knots for 6,000 nautical miles.
The sale comes as a part of a busy week with Burgess, also selling a 58.2-metre superyacht J'Ade. Meanwhile, the 65-metre Heesen Galactica Star was sold last week after a corruption case in Nigeria, with Fraser representing the seller and Burgess representing the buyer.
