Ferretti Yachts makes its comeback in the range under 50 feet with the used flybridge yacht, on display at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2016. Style, comfort, class, performance, brightness, lounge areas out on the sea and sporty DNA: imagine these features at the very height of excellence and you will have the used Ferretti Yachts 450.
Presented in late July at the private preview in Portopiccolo Sistiana, an exclusive marina a few miles from Trieste, the yacht was created to captivate enthusiasts and owners from all over the world and it has all the right tools to do so. Ferretti Yachts 450 is the result of the collaboration between the Ferretti Group Product Strategy Committee, the Group’s Engineering Department, which supervised the technical and naval engineering, and the Studio Zuccon International Project, which handled both exterior and interior design. The flybridge yacht features sleek, dynamic lines which give this 45-footer the sporty feel that embodies the oldest generation of Ferretti Yachts. The three decks let you enjoy every moment on board, thanks to comfortable and extraordinarily bright interiors with glazed surfaces on main and lower decks. The furnishings were developed by the Ferretti Group Engineering Department interior designers to create a refined, playful contrast between the variety of materials and colours.
This produces a sophisticated combination of woods, lacquered surfaces and fabrics that fuses a contemporary living style with a traditional marine design, a hallmark of the brand. It is a combination which, in almost 50 years, has captivated owners all around the world, from the USA to China, where Ferretti Yachts is synonymous with Italian yachting.
Once on board, the stern swimming platform featuring a tender lift offers a submerged area to use as a beach club or to move the tender (up to 2.80 metres). The cockpit is fitted with an aft sofa and a wooden table. The interiors of the main deck are a streamlined open space, with a fully parquet floor. The galley on the port side features walnut furniture doors with lacquered frames and a glazed surface at the bottom. The worktop is made from innovative nanotechnology material. A leather upholstered cabinet on the starboard side contains a refrigerator and freezer. The central living area is fitted with a sofa on the port side surrounding the dining table, opposite which is a second sofa against the wall. The helm station is located at the far bow on the starboard side.
The lower deck of the first unit has a three cabin layout to sleep up to 6 people. The full-beam master suite is enhanced by the playful decorations of walnut, fabrics, lacquered surfaces and carpet in various shades of grey, as well as leather inserts in the furniture panels, framework and headboard. The captivating style of the suite also features extraordinary volume and space: indeed, the central double bed is flanked by a comfortable sofa on the starboard side and many storage compartments and by two spacious wardrobes stretching to other containers against the wall. The master suite is completed by a large en-suite head with separate shower decorated by a mosaic wall. A similar interior design distinguishes the VIP suite at the far bow, while the guest cabin features bunk beds on the starboard side. The head with separate shower in the VIP suite is shared with the third cabin and can also be used as a day toilet.
There is a surprising amount of space outside, starting from the flybridge which gives extra character to the yacht. The sun deck is divided into a dining area with central table and bar unit at the stern and a central outside pilot station. The compact design of the helm station, along with the storage of the life raft under the captain’s seat, help create space for a large sun pad at bow. A retractable sun canopy shelters guests during the hottest hours of the day. The bow of the yacht is also all about relaxation thanks to the central sun pad on the deckhouse.
The Ferretti Yachts 450 is fitted with a pair of Cummins QSB 6.7 engines. The owner can choose from two versions: either 425 Mhp or 480 Mhp. The second option will give the used yacht a cruising speed of 27 knots with a maximum speed of 31 knots (preliminary data). The used yacht can also be fitted with a practical joystick system to make manoeuvring and mooring even easier.
Team Abu Dhabi, featuring Riva Classiche branding and piloted by ten-time Formula 1 Powerboat champion Guido Cappellini, has set a new record in the Pavia-Venice 2025 International Powerboat Raid. The team completed the 400 km inland waterway course in 1 hour, 41 minutes, and 45 seconds, achieving an average speed of 207.26 km/h.The performance breaks the previous 2005 record of 1 hour, 44 minutes, and 45 seconds (203.34 km/h) held by Dino Zantelli. Earlier records include Serafino Riva's 1931 outboard category achievement of 51.660 km/h.The collaboration between Riva and Cappellini dates to 2005 when the champion set an undefeated world water speed record on Lake Iseo near Riva's Sarnico shipyard. Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) has launched its new flagship, the 47-meter RJ155 explorer yacht, marking the largest vessel to date from the Ancona-based builder. The launch follows the successful delivery of two RJ115 models (Stellamar and Pazienza) and the original RJ130 (now named Nuri).Designed by Francesco Paszkowski with interiors by Achille Salvagni, the RJ155 features a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. Naval architecture by Pierluigi Ausonio incorporates twin Caterpillar C32 Acert EPA Tier 3 engines, providing a 5,000+ nautical mile range at 10 knots. The yacht carries 66,400 liters of fuel and utilizes CMC Marine stabilizers.Accommodation spans five suites for 12 guests, including an owner's cabin with private gym. Storage includes a large lazarette for toys and tender capacity. The design emphasizes indoor-outdoor connectivity through extended overhangs and shaded terraces."We're honored a returning client chose to upgrade from an RJ130 to this larger model," said Vasco Buonpensiere, CdM CEO. The RJ series has received industry recognition, with both RJ115 models winning World Superyacht Awards in 2024 and 2025.At 510 tons displacement and under 500 GT, the RJ155 maintains CdM's focus on expedition capabilities while expanding interior volume. Florence-based Luca Dini Design & Architecture has completed interior design work for Ada Yacht Works' inaugural 50-meter superyacht, launched this week in Bodrum. The Turkish shipyard's flagship project features contemporary Italian styling with smoked oak paneling and polished white finishes."Interior design comes courtesy of Luca Dini Design & Architecture, who bring their signature blend of elegance, comfort, and contemporary Italian flair," stated Ada Yacht Works CEO Onur Tekin. The design incorporates Foglizzo leather details and furnishings from Poltrona Frau and Minotti. Mengi Yay Shipyard has successfully launched the Atlante Classic 35, a new explorer yacht designed for luxury expedition cruising. The vessel marks the shipyard’s first foray into the luxury yacht market following its traditional focus on commercial vessels.The 35-meter yacht features a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, designed by Mengi Yay’s in-house team. The vessel is equipped with twin Caterpillar C18 engines, providing a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. The yacht has a range of 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.The Atlante Classic 35 can accommodate up to 12 guests across 6 staterooms, including a master suite, VIP suite, and four guest cabins. The crew accommodation consists of 8 cabins for the crew of 10. Moonen Yachts has secured the sale of its seventh 37.4-meter Martinique model (YN205) through IYC brokers Matthew Stone and Josh Marshall. The transaction marks the second in-house sale since IYC became Moonen's global sales representative.The American buyer selected the Dutch-built yacht for its customizable layout and indoor-outdoor connectivity. Construction will now extend beyond the original four-week delivery timeline to accommodate owner-requested modifications, including a hot tub installation."This sale demonstrates Moonen's flexibility in meeting client needs," said Matthew Stone, IYC Managing Partner. "The yard stood out among six competitors for its balance of quality, comfort and safety."Designed by René van der Velden with naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design, the 345GT Martinique features Hollander Yacht Design interiors.
