Ferretti Yachts launched the first unit of its new Ferretti Yachts 940 model on January 15 at the company’s Cattolica shipyard. This widebody yacht, designed to offer a combination of space and functionality, is set to remain in Italian waters, reflecting the importance of the domestic market for Ferretti Group.

The yacht measures 28.97 meters (95 ft 1 in) in length with a beam of 6.78 meters (22 ft 3 in). It features a five-cabin layout, including a full-beam master cabin situated on the main deck. Large floor-to-ceiling windows are a prominent design element, providing increased natural light and outward visibility.
The Ferretti Yachts 940 was developed in collaboration with Filippo Salvetti, who designed the exterior, and Ideaeitalia, responsible for the interiors. The main deck includes a salon spanning nearly 30 square meters, with a seating area, a dining table for eight, and sliding glass doors for access. The interior design of this unit incorporates the brand’s Classic mood, characterized by neutral tones and natural materials.

Outdoor spaces include a cockpit with freestanding furniture and a glass parapet, a flybridge for dining, and a forward area equipped with a sunpad, sofa, and table. Walkways allow for easy access between areas, including the mooring zone.
The lower deck accommodates three VIP cabins and one guest cabin with adjustable beds. The first unit is powered by two MAN V12 engines, each delivering 2000 mhp, with a reported top speed of 25 knots and a cruising speed of 21 knots (preliminary data).

Ferretti Yachts 940 is intended as a functional vessel offering options for leisure and hosting, with design elements tailored to enhance usability and comfort.
