Custom Line has successfully launched the second vessel of its flagship Custom Line 140 series, exactly a year after the debut of the first hull. The unnamed Custom Line 140 was gracefully introduced into the water during a ceremony hosted at the Ferretti Group Superyacht facility in Ancona, Italy, last month.
Designed by Francesco Paszkowski's studio in collaboration with Margherita Casprini and the Custom Line Atelier, the yacht boasts a sporty silhouette. The interior was tailored to the preferences of an owner based in the Americas region.
In an interview, Paszkowski elaborated on the project's objectives, which aimed to transform the previous Custom Line planing models into a yacht that harmonizes ample onboard spaces with optimal performance, establishing it as a leader in its size segment.
The design elements drew inspiration from residential architecture, resulting in enhanced shapes and volumes throughout the vessel. The main deck saloon, featuring a ceiling height of 2.1 meters flanked by floor-to-ceiling windows and opening doors aft and starboard, exudes an airy ambiance. A neutral color palette prevails, with shades of taupe and white blending harmoniously with accents of blue, green, and dark brown.
An outstanding feature is the 44-square-meter owner's suite, situated forward on the main deck, complete with his-and-her bathrooms, a walk-in wardrobe, and an office area. The remaining four guest cabins are located on the lower deck and feature exquisite finishes, including Volga Blue ultramarine flake granite, carbon-finish American Walnut, and various marbles such as polished Matt Sahara Noir, polished Orobico, and Calacatta Gold.
On the performance front, the yacht's naval engineering, executed by the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, incorporates innovative carbon fiber lightweighting technology to enhance fuel efficiency and handling.
With twin MTU 2,638hp engines, the yacht boasts a top speed of 21.5 knots and cruises comfortably at 15 knots.
The Ferretti Group, led by Chief Executive Officer Alberto Galassi, is now one of the world’s leaders in the construction and sale of luxury yachts and pleasure vessels, with a unique portfolio of brands: Ferretti Yachts, Riva, Pershing, Itama, Mochi Craft, CRN, Custom Line and Wally.
