Aside from the recent buzz in the media regarding his probable ownership of the 136-metre Lürssen charter superyacht Flying Fox, the richest person in the world Jeff Bezos (Forbes) has been photographed on-board another Lürssen giant, the 138-metre Rising Sun, reports Bloomberg, in the company of her owner David Geffen and Lloyd Blankfein.
On Tuesday, David Geffen posted the shot on his Instagram account, with the caption: ‘Having a great time in the Balearics.’ On the shot, the company is joined by a group of people including Lauren Sanchez, the model Karlie Kloss and her husband, Josh Kushner, reports Business Insider.
Jeff Bezos’ net worth is currently estimated at $113.7 billion. Founded by Bezos in 1994 who has remained its CEO ever since, Amazon pulled in $230 billion in revenues and a record $10 billion in net profit in 2018, up from $3 billion the prior year. In addition, Jeff Bezos owns The Washington Post and Blue Origin, an aerospace manufacturer developing a rocket for private human access to space.

Concerning the Rising Sun, not very much information has been known about the world’s fifteenth largest yacht, although she is frequently in focus of her owner’s Instagram activity. One of Lürssen mega projects, the superyacht was built in 2004, with design by Jon Bannenberg.
She cost $200 million to build, according to some reports. David Geffen had co-owned Rising Sun along with Oracle CEO Larry Ellison since 2004, before he bought it completely in 2010.
First and foremost, Rising Sun is defined through banks of windows across the superstructure. The yacht takes advantage of 8,000 square metres of living space across 82 rooms.
The vessel can accommodate 18 guests in nine cabins, with the capacity to carry a crew of up to 46. The interior by Laura Seccombe includes a gym, cinema, and wine cellar. One of the most distinctive hallmarks of the yacht, the rear cockpit deck, was designed as a basketball court.

The pop star Katy Perry and the actor Orlando Bloom also were aboard Rising Sun last month.
According to the data from Marine Traffic, the vessel is currently located at the shores of Mallorca.
Italian yacht builder Dolomia Yachts has introduced its inaugural power catamaran range, developed in partnership with design firm Centrostiledesign. The initial models include the 22-meter D100 and smaller D70, designed to provide monohull-equivalent volume with reduced hydrodynamic resistance.The D100 model offers approximately 300 square meters of interior space, comparable to 30-meter monohull yachts. Italian marine engineering company West Navaltech has launched Forte Yachts, a new yacht brand focused on aluminum vessel construction. The debut model, the Forte 47, is currently in development at the company's Ameglia facility near La Spezia.West Navaltech operates from a 1,300-square-meter covered production area with 1,800 square meters of hard standing. The company has previously specialized in constructing steel and aluminum workboats ranging from 14 to 50 meters, including fire department vessels, electric catamarans, and tugboats. The company also supplies aluminum components to shipyards in the Miglio Blu district.Livio Franchini, Technical Manager and partner at West Navaltech, stated: "The creation of Forte Yachts marks a strategic expansion. We wanted to separate our workboat production from our leisure brand, keeping both worlds independent but complementary."The Forte 47 measures 14.3 meters in length with aluminum construction emphasizing interior volume. The design includes two full-height cabins and two bathrooms, with ceiling heights exceeding two meters below deck. Naval architecture was developed by Umberto Tagliavini of Marine Design.The vessel will be offered in both outboard and inboard engine configurations, with layout variations depending on propulsion choice.
