Following the launch of Tatiana in 2019, Bilgin Yachts took a big step into the world superyacht industry. The first unit of 263 series has gained the title of being the largest private yacht that has ever been built in Turkey.
The second hull of the 263 series – which is already sold – is planned to be launched in 2022 and following that, the third hull of the model will be delivered to her owner in 2023.
The naval architecture and exterior design are made by Antalya-based Unique Yacht Design. With 1,689 GRT weight and steel-aluminium structure, the superyacht has a dynamic hull form. Emrecan Özgün, CEO and the Founder of Unique Yacht Design, describes the 263 series as follows: "With her design and comfort elements, the Bilgin 263 is truly one-of-a-kind. We created a very attractive yacht with a sleek and sexy profile while avoiding a high dosage of design clichés. The increase in living areas normally results in bulky designs. The Bilgin 263 has a design attitude that will dominate the yachting sector around the world. This will clearly make her a trendsetter among steel-aluminium superyachts of today."
H2 Yacht Design worked on the interior. The yachts offer accommodation for up to 16 guests. Owner’s deck has a pretty large and private owner’s suite while there are four guest cabins on the main deck and three VIP cabins on the lower deck. Real leather in the interior living areas, high-quality marble on every wet floor, woods for the coatings, teak on the exterior floor and custom-made carpets inside adds additional accents to a yacht. The beach club has direct access from the main living room.
One of the prominent features of the series is their being eco-friendly. Both Tatiana and her sister ships have SCR systems connected to the main engines and generators. Thanks to this feature as well as the IMO TIER III compliance, Tatiana has earned the right to cruise all around the world and anchor to very protected bays.
The series emphasizes eco-friendliness, featuring a special exhaust system that provides 100% clean air emissions. With two 2,560 kW engines, Tatiana can speed up to 19.3 knots, while the cruising speed 12 knots keeps her fuel consumption at 280 l/h. While the performance and comfort in the living areas will stay the same, the second unit of the series has a different interior design in terms of the use of colours and materials. Already being sold, the yacht has golden touches on the decks. On the other hand, the third unit of the series steps forth with a more optimized hull and decks.
Emrecan Özgün describes her as follows: “This unit offers technical improvements such as a new ventilation system and an increased generator capacity, the third unit also promises 20% larger volume both in interior and exterior areas. She will have a different layout than her predecessors. Owner deck is located above the main deck for more privacy and the wheel house is located on the top deck for better bridge visibility, while the staircase located in the center of the hull is larger than the other units as well.”
Bilgin Yachts also have a 74m yacht planned to be delivered in 2023, while two 50m sister ships will be ready to splash the water in 2022.
Bilgin Yachts is a boutique shipyard on the European side of Istanbul, building 50 to 120m luxury superyachts. It has been a family-run business for five generations since the early 1900s.
