Bering Yachts marked a significant milestone as they laid the keel for their inaugural catamaran, the B60 CAT, at their Antalya shipyard in Turkey.
Renowned for their steel and aluminum exploration vessels spanning 20 to 50 meters, Bering Yachts has responded to increasing demand by introducing hydrofoil-supported catamarans under the Bering Marine brand, expanding their portfolio to include multi-hull exploration vessels.
Unveiled as a model at the 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show, the B60 CAT represents the first of its kind crafted by Bering Yachts in their Antalya shipyard.
Measuring 18.9 meters in length, with an 8.6-meter beam and a displacement of 62.8 tonnes, the B60 CAT offers a range of configurations. The selected design features a grand master bedroom, two guest staterooms, a crew cabin, and a closed flybridge, among other options.
Propelled by two Cummins engines, the B60 CAT achieves a cruise speed of 12-13 knots, with a maximum speed of 15 knots. With an anticipated range surpassing 3,000 nautical miles and a shallow 1.4-meter draft, this vessel is poised to navigate the Caribbean, coastal waters, and inland bodies of water with ease.
The main deck boasts a versatile 50-square-meter interior space, comprising a lounge area with a high/low table, a galley equipped with a bar, and a dining area. Additionally, a 27.7-square-meter boat deck serves as storage for tender boats or water toys, while access to the flybridge deck is provided via open-air stairs. Completing the ensemble, a 10-square-meter swimming platform on the lower deck can be raised to extend the cockpit area, enhancing onboard leisure options.
