Rodriguez Design introduces its latest concept Azua, a 63-meter superyacht designed to cater to a younger and dynamic clientele entering the luxury yacht market. Recognizing the evolving profile of superyacht owners, especially those with a penchant for speed and style, Azua blends sportiness with elegance, promising an unparalleled experience.
Josh Rodriguez, owner of Rodriguez Design, shares the philosophy behind Azua, stating, "The idea behind Azua was to develop a concept that would appeal to all audiences: sporty, yet elegant; discreet, yet flashy. Perfect for young owners seeking the thrills of a fast boat and the comforts of a superyacht."
Main deck saloon
Azua welcomes guests with a spacious beach club featuring a 3 meter Transformer platform for a seamless sea-to-sunbed experience. The beach club houses a central bar and front seating area, complemented by two 4.5m folding balconies for added privacy. Moving to the main deck, an aft seating area offers a mix of fixed and loose furniture.
Access to the upper deck is granted through staircases on the starboard side, leading to both the aft and forward sections. The aft upper deck features loose furniture and an al fresco dining setup for 10 guests, while the forward section boasts an O-shaped sofa and a sizable sunbathing area.
Owner's cabin
Ascending to the sun deck via the aft staircase reveals loose sunbeds, adaptable for gym equipment. The area includes a bar with a dumbwaiter, alfresco dining to starboard, and a spacious seating arrangement with a 3 meter hot tub flanked by a sun pad area.
Ignacio Rodriguez, Chief Interior Designer of Rodriguez Design, opted for an elegant and modern approach in the interior design. The main saloon on the main deck seamlessly integrates the seating/TV area with the dining area, enhancing natural light and spatial openness. Two opposing sofas and a fixed furniture housing the TV define the area, leading to a dining table for 12 guests. Forward, a day head precedes the full-beam owner’s cabin, featuring warm rose gold accents and LED lights. Descending to the lower deck reveals guest cabins, while forward lies the crew accommodation.
Upper deck saloon
The upper deck hosts an observation lounge/saloon, providing privacy for movie nights or video games. The angled floor-to-ceiling windows offer a 270-degree view, complemented by a lower bulwark for an enhanced outdoor vista. Advancing forward leads to the captain’s cabin and wheelhouse.
Powered by twin MTU 16V 4000 M63L engines, Azua achieves a top speed of 22 knots, ideal for those seeking the adrenaline rush of a swift cruise.
Josh Rodriguez envisions the yacht as perfect for catching a sunset in St. Tropez and returning in time for dinner in Monaco.
