The Italian yard Custom Line presented its new flagship – the all aluminum Navetta 50. It opens a new chapter for Custom Line: since 1996 the shipyard yard has been built in fiberglass.
The 49.9m superyacht exterior was made by Filippo Salvetti. According to Salvetti, the exterior lines have changed, “making her more aggressive and pushing the series into a new era.” The engineering was traditionally made by the Strategic Product Department led by Mr. Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard Engineering Unit.
Her volume is below 500 GT and she spreads across four decks. The interior styling was penned by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel. Extensive use of floor-to-ceiling glass and reflective surfaces to connect the indoors to the out, creating a sense of “being on an island surrounded by water”, shipyard describes.
New flagship can accommodate 10 guests onboard, including the owner suite, which is located in the bow and has floor-to-ceiling windows, a large private terrace and a “sunset solarium.” The four guest cabins are situated on the lower deck.
The yacht features a beach club and a large private lounge on the main deck aft that are connected by a rectangular pool in the stern, her sun deck with dining area and an American bar might have a hot tub and solarium.
The aluminum construction promises to reduce the vessel’s fuel consumption by about 10 to 15 percent compared to a traditional steel vessel of the same size and volume. Navetta 50 will be equipped with twin CAT engines and will have a maximum speed of 16 knots and a range of approximately 4,000 nautical miles at cruising speeds.
According to the Custom Line, construction work on the Navetta 50 will start at the end of the year. The yacht is scheduled for launch in 2024.
