Floating Life has unveiled its latest project, the Kiribati 38, an explorer yacht designed for challenging adventures and long-range cruising. With bold exterior lines, the Kiribati 38 is the result of a collaboration between Floating Life, CCN-Gruppo Baglietto shipyard, Zero13 studio, and Satura Studio.
The hull was designed and tested by Andrea Pezzini, director and co-founder of Floating Life, in collaboration with Zero13 studio, to optimize fluid dynamics and reduce fuel consumption at all speeds while ensuring safe and comfortable navigation. The design boasts a 5,000nm-range at 10 knots and ample storage capacity for supplies and water, making it ideal for extended periods at sea.
Efficiency, reliability, and robustness were at the forefront of the project's development. "The study done for Kiribati 38 focused on the possibility to use two different types of propulsion without changing the dimensions and shapes; making it possible to mount both a traditional and a full electric propulsion," explains Andrea Pezzini of Floating Life.
The Kiribati 38, with a length of 38.7 meters and a maximum beam of 8.50 meters, offers vast volumes and unique features in its category. The interior includes a private owner's area located forward of the main deck with a spacious full-beam cabin, a dressing room, and two separate bathrooms with a shared shower. Ten guests can enjoy accommodation on the lower deck across five comfortable and independent suites equipped with all amenities.
The Kiribati 38 also features separate crew quarters for eight people across four cabins, a laundry room, a crew mess, and a remarkably well-equipped and functional professional galley. The external layout offers five other external areas in addition to the beach area to ensure great privacy even when all 12 guests are onboard.
"The Kiribati 38 is a true Explorer yacht, without compromises, conceived for long-range voyages in complete safety and great comfort," says Filippo Rossi, CCO of Floating Life. "With a range of 5,000 nautical miles, she offers exceptional autonomy. Her name is inspired by the Kiribati Islands, an archipelago in the heart of the Pacific Ocean, which has always been a safe haven for ocean explorers, so there could not be a better name for a project with these characteristics."
Kiribati 38 has a starting price of 23 million Euros. Delivery is expected within 24 months from the start of construction entrusted to CCN, a division of the Baglietto Group.
