Dutch yacht builder Moonen Yachts has successfully delivered Moonshine, a new 36.3-meter Martinique yacht.
Moonshine embarked on her maiden voyage to Mallorca, marking the start of her owners’ first season on board. She is set to cruise the Mediterranean and the Caribbean this year before reaching her permanent home in San Diego, California.
The yacht features a range of bespoke changes tailored by Moonen Yachts to suit the owners' preferences and intended use, including modifications to the yacht's length for a specific mooring location. The owners collaborated with Hollander Yacht Design to create a rich and characterful interior.
Moonshine's final commissioning took place in Rotterdam before departing the Netherlands. This delivery marks the sixth unit of the premium semi-custom Martinique design by Moonen Yachts, renowned for its fast-displacement long-range capability, balanced indoor-outdoor living, and extensive customization options.
The Martinique, constructed with a high tensile steel hull and aluminum superstructure, boasts a maximum speed of 17 knots and a cruising range of 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. The yacht's spacious 345 Gross Tonnage volume includes five cabins, accommodating up to 12 guests and seven crew members.
Moonen Yachts is currently building the seventh Martinique, YN205, which is available for sale and scheduled for delivery in April 2025.
Moonen Yachts is a yacht builder based in the Netherlands, and its first yacht was built in 1964 under the original yard name of De Ruiter. In 1981, the yard was renamed Moonen Shipyards. It’s launching its first vessel under new ownership: Alhena. In 2017 Moonen Shipyards changed into Moonen Yachts. With the help of strong vision, innovative technology and new designers, Moonen is once again becoming the market leader in 30m to 50m luxury yachts.
