The first hull of SW108#01 Hybrid Gelliceaux delivered and has just departed Cape Town, on a sailing adventure where she will carry her owners and crew on a high seas voyage around the world. The owners express profound satisfaction, praising Gelliceaux's beauty and anticipating both leisurely cruises and formidable challenges. The voyage is guided by an adept team, notably Sebastian Allebrodt of A2B Marine, who lauds the advantages of a smart custom Southern Wind, allowing clients to personalize proven platforms.

Her exterior was made by Nauta Design, while Farr Yacht Design's naval architecture underscores the vessel's commitment to exceptional performance. Jim Schmicker, Vice President of Farr Yacht Design, revealed that a hybrid propulsion system was incorporated despite its inherent complexities, significantly boosting performance in various wind conditions.

Currently sailing off Namibia, Gelliceaux harnesses electricity through the BAE Hybrigen® System, showcasing sustainability with 35 kW generation at 16 knots and 25 kW at 14 knots. At 10 knots or higher, the yacht can theoretically extend its range indefinitely without compromising luxury. Mariano Sotelo, the experienced captain leading Gelliceaux's maiden voyage, hails it as a safe, beautiful vessel meeting the owner's desires.
